ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 17th day of September 1956

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Waikaia Rural Fire District Order 1954, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Waikaia Rural Fire District Order 1954* (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).

  2. The principal order is hereby amended by omitting the Schedule thereto and substituting the Schedule set out in the Schedule to this order.

SCHEDULE

SCHEDULE to be substituted for the Schedule to the principal order:

"SCHEDULE

"WAIIKAIA RURAL FIRE DISTRICT

"Southland Land District—Southland Conservancy

"ALL that area in Southland County, containing approximately 3,760 acres, Blocks VIII, IX, and XII, Waikaia Survey District, and Block I, Wendon Survey District, bounded towards the east by Section 23, Block VIII, Waikaia Survey District; towards the north by the northern side of a public road and the crossing of the Waikaia Main Highway; towards the east by the eastern side of the aforementioned main highway to the Whakaea River; towards the south-east generally by the right bank of the aforesaid river and the left bank of Dome Burn to the Riversdale-Waikaia Main Highway; towards the east by the eastern side of the last-mentioned main highway to a point opposite the southern side of Stirling Road; towards the south-west by the crossing of the last-mentioned main highway and by the south-western side of Stirling Road to and across McRarie Road; towards the west by the western side of a public road, the crossing of McKenzie Road, the western side of a public road, and the crossing of a road; towards the north-west by the north-western side of a public road; and towards the north by the crossing of the last-mentioned road, Section 4, Block XII, Waikaia Survey District, by a right line being the production of the southern boundary of the last-mentioned section to the eastern side of a public road, and by Sections 34 and 25, Block VIII, aforesaid. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 193/8 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red."

Mangonui Harbour Board Dissolved

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 24th day of September 1956

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS, pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, the Local Government Commission has approved as final a scheme bearing date the 15th day of June 1956 providing for the dissolution of the Mangonui Harbour Board and making supplementary provision incidental thereto:

And whereas it is deemed expedient to give effect to the final scheme as hereinafter appearing:

Now, therefore, pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares:

(1) That, as from the 30th day of September 1956, the Mangonui Harbour Board shall be dissolved:

(2) That all the property, debts, liabilities, and engagements of the Mangonui Harbour Board shall, from the date aforesaid, vest in and become the property, debts, liabilities, and engagements of the Mangonui County Council.

Kaikoura Harbour Board Dissolved

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 24th day of September 1956

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

WHEREAS, pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, the Local Government Commission has approved as final a scheme bearing date the 21st day of May 1956 providing for the dissolution of the Kaikoura Harbour Board and making supplementary provision incidental thereto:

And whereas it is deemed expedient to give effect to the final scheme as hereinafter appearing:

Now, therefore, pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares:

(1) That, as from the 30th day of September 1956, the Kaikoura Harbour Board shall be dissolved.

(2) That all the property, debts, liabilities, and engagements of the Kaikoura Harbour Board shall, from the date aforementioned, vest in and become the property, debts, liabilities, and engagements of the Kaikoura County Council.

Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 17th day of September 1956

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Local Government Loans' Board Act 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.
