A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for State housing purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 17th day of September 1956.
SCHEDULE
Approximate area of the piece of land taken: 5 acres 3 roods 25.46 perches.
Being Lots 55, 56, 76, 77, and part Lots 57 and 75, Deeds Plan 14, being part Block 45, Patangata Crown Grant District. All certificate of title, H.B. Volume 58, folio 71, Hawke's Bay Land Registry.
Situated in the Borough of Waipawa.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for an automatic telephone exchange; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 17th day of September 1956.

A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928 and section 43 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of a portion of the Whakamaru-Otahuhu 220 kV. transmission line (Lake Taupo and the Waikato River power scheme) in Blocks VI, VII, and XI, Otahuhu Survey District, shall be the line defined and described in the Schedule hereto; and I hereby define as being land upon and in respect of which it is intended to exercise the powers conferred by the Public Works Act 1928, and by any other Act in respect of the erection, maintenance, and use of the said transmission line, all that area shown coloured red on the plan marked P.W.D. 151118 referred to in the Schedule hereto.

All in the North Auckland Land District; as the same is delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 151118 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Proclaiming the Borough of Hastings to be a City

A PROCLAMATION
Whereas a petition has been received from the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Hastings praying that the said borough be proclaimed a city under the provisions of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954:
And whereas the population of the said borough is not less than twenty thousand:
And whereas it is desirable that effect should be given to the said petition:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 6 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim the Borough of Hastings to be a city.

All that area in Masterton County, containing 2 acres 2 roods 16.7 perches, more or less, and being Section 958, Whareama Block, situated in Block X, Rewa Survey District. As shown on plan No. 91/6 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (S.O. Plan 23309.)

As shown on plan No. 134/7 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
