A PROCLAMATION
Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby revoke the Proclamation dated the 7th day of June 1956, and published in Gazette, No. 34, of that year, at page 783, taking land at Springfield for railway purposes in so far as it affects Lots 4 and 5, D.P. 500, Springfield Township, Block XII, Kowai Survey District, containing 1 rood 36 perches, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 453, folio 103, Canterbury Registry.

Licensing F. O. J. Langton to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore at Rawene as a Site for a Store and Offices

NORRIE, Governor-GeneralORDER IN COUNCILAt the Government House at Wellington this 29th day of August 1956Present:HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCILPursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby licenses and permits Francis Oliver John Langton, of Rawene (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his administrators, executors, or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy, as a site for a store and offices, that part of the foreshore at Rawene, Hokianga Harbour, shown as site No. 9 on plans marked M.D. 4288 and 4289 deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE(1) This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.(2) The term of the licence shall be fourteen years from 10 August 1956.(3) The premium payable by the licensee shall be two pounds (£2) and the annual sum so payable ten pounds (£10).T. NORRIE, Governor-GeneralORDER IN COUNCILAt the Government House at Wellington this 29th day of August 1956Present:HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCILPursuant to section 53 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Lyttelton Harbour Board to invest out of the loan repayment account, established pursuant to the Lyttelton Harbour Board Loan and Empowering Act 1955, the sum of £3,600 in debentures of the Taranaki Harbour Board Loan No. 5, 1954, £485,000.T.
