SECOND SCHEDULE
RURAL SUBDIVISION
CLASS A: On the unimproved value of all lands classified as
Class A by the persons appointed to classify lands under
section 3 of the Swamp Drainage Amendment Act 1928,
thirty-three and ninety-eight one-hundredths of a penny
(33·98d.) in the pound.
CLASS B: On the unimproved value of all lands so classified
as Class B, eleven pence and eighty-nine one-hundredths of
a penny (11·89d.) in the pound.
CLASS C: On the unimproved value of all lands so classified
as Class C, fivepence and ten one-hundredths of a penny
(5·10d.) in the pound.

Poukawa Drainage Area—Notice of Making and Levying
General Rates
Pursuant to the Swamp Drainage Act 1915 and its
amendments, the Minister of Lands hereby makes and
levies, on the unimproved value of land within the Poukawa
Drainage Area constituted under the said Act, the general
rates to meet maintenance costs for the period 1 April 1956
to 31 March 1957 as described in the Schedule hereto.
The amount of such rates will be payable in one sum on
30 August 1956, together with the amount of the annually
recurring special rates already made and levied, to the Collector
of Rates, Room 8, First Floor, Government Buildings, Customs
Street West, Auckland.
The rate book of the area will be open for inspection at
the office of the Collector of Rates, and a copy of same may
be inspected at the office of the Commissioner of Crown
Lands, Post Office Buildings, Napier, at all times at which
those offices are open for the transaction of public business.
SCHEDULE
CLASS A: On the unimproved value of all lands classified as
Class A by persons appointed to classify lands under

twelve pence and three one-hundredths of a penny (12·03d.)
in the pound.
CLASS B: On the unimproved value of all lands so classified

as Class C, forty one-hundredths of a penny (0·40d.) in
the pound.

Rangitaiki Land Drainage District—Notice of Making and

Pursuant to the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act 1910
and its amendments, the Minister of Lands hereby makes
and levies, on the unimproved value of all land within the
district constituted under the said Act, the general rates to
meet maintenance costs for the period 1 April 1956 to 31
March 1957 as described in the Schedule hereto.
The amount of such rates will be payable in one sum on
30 August 1956, together with the amount of the annually
recurring special rates already made and levied, to the Collector
of Rates, Room 8, First Floor, Government Buildings, Customs
Street West, Auckland.
The rate book of the district will be open for inspection at
the office of the Collector of Rates, and a copy of same may
be inspected at the Land Drainage Office of the Ministry of
Works at Thornton, near Whakatane, at all times at which
those offices are open for the transaction of public business.
SCHEDULE

Class A by the arbitrators appointed under section 6 of the
Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act 1910, ninepence and fifty-
four one-hundredths of a penny (9·54d.) in the pound.
CLASS B: On the unimproved value of all lands so classified
as Class B, sixpence and thirty-six one-hundredths of a
penny (6·36d.) in the pound.
CLASS C: On the unimproved value of all lands so classified
as Class C, threepence and eighteen one-hundredths of a
penny (3·18d.) in the pound.
CLASS D: On the unimproved value of all lands so classified
as Class D, one penny and six one-hundredths of a penny
(1·06d.) in the pound.

has been granted to the Levels County Council to prepare,
recommend, and approve its district scheme by sections as

southerly and north-westerly generally along the middle lines
of the Main South Road, a public road forming the southern
boundary of part Lot 2, D.P. 1174, and passing through Rural
Section 3753, and Otipua Road to a point in line with the
south-western boundary of Lot 29, D.P. 3306; thence north-
westerly generally to and along the south-western boundaries
of Lots 29, 30, 31, and 32, D.P. 3306; the south-eastern and
south-western boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 5535, and the south-

right bank of the Tengawai River, and on the middle line of
Pleasant Point-Fairlie Main Highway No. 293; thence east-
erly generally along the right bank of the Tengawai River
and Opihi River to the middle line of Butlers Road; thence
south-westerly along the middle line of Butlers Road and its
production to the north-eastern side of the Fairlie Branch
Railway; thence north-westerly along the north-eastern side
of that railway to a point in line with the south-eastern boun-
dary of Rural Section 9008; thence south-westerly to and
along that boundary to a point in line with the south-western
