Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities

At the Government House at Wellington this 1st day of August 1956

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

The Longridge Rabbit District Order 1956 (Notice No. Ag. 6140)

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order:

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Longridge Rabbit District Order 1956.

(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

  1. The boundaries of the Longridge Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 15th day of December 1953,* are hereby altered and redefined; and as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE LONGRIDGE RABBIT DISTRICT

Southland Land District, Southland County

ALL that area in the Southland Land District containing 64,550 acres, more or less, inclusive of roads, railways, and streams, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the north-eastern corner of Section 815, Block I, Hokonui Survey District; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of Section 815 aforesaid, to the easternmost corner of Lot 3 on Plan No. 2935, deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Invercargill; thence south-westerly generally, along the eastern boundary of the said Lot 3, to and across the Lumsden–Longridge North Road; thence south-easterly generally, along the south-western side of the Lumsden–Longridge North Road, to the Waimea Stream; thence south-easterly generally along the Waimea Stream to its intersection with the south side Waimea Plains Branch Railway Reserve; thence in a south-easterly direction along the southern side of the said Waimea Plains Branch Railway Reserve to its intersection with the eastern side of the Glenure to Balfour Road; thence in a north-easterly direction generally, along the eastern sides of the said Gore–Lumsden State Highway, and the Balfour–Ardlussa Road, and along the south side of a public road forming the northern boundary of Lot 1 on Plan No. 191, deposited as aforesaid, to the right bank of the Mataura River; thence in a northerly direction generally, along the right bank of the Mataura River, to its junction with the Eyre Creek Rabbit District as described in Gazette of 30 June 1955, page 1033; thence westerly generally along the southern boundary of the Eyre Creek Rabbit District to its junction with the eastern boundary of the Lumsden Hills Rabbit District as described in Gazette of 23 June 1955, page 1004; thence southerly and westerly along the eastern and southern boundaries of the Lumsden Hills Rabbit District, to the point of commencement.

Declaring the Winton Rabbit District and the Kauana Rabbit Districts to be United to Form the Winton Rabbit District (Notice No. Ag. 6141)

At the Government House at Wellington this 1st day of August 1956

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council at the request of the Minister of Agriculture made on the recommendation of the Rabbit Destruction Council, hereby declares the Winton Rabbit District which was constituted by Order in Council on the 15th day of July 1942, and the Kauana Rabbit District which was constituted by Order in Council on the 7th day of November 1946, to be united and to form one district having the name of the Winton Rabbit District.

Authorising the Laying-off of Exminster Street, Windemere Crescent, and Rathlin Street, in the City of Auckland, Subject to a Condition as to the Building Line

At the Government House at Wellington this 1st day of August 1956

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Auckland City Council to lay off the proposed street first described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less than 54 ft., and of the proposed street secondly described in the said Schedule at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less than 50 ft., and of the proposed street thirdly described in the said Schedule at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less than 60 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on a subdivision of the land shown edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 150860, referred to in the said Schedule, within a distance of 15 ft. from the boundaries of the said streets.

SCHEDULE

FIRST, that proposed street in the North Auckland Land District, City of Auckland, to be known as Exminster Street, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 34·6 perches, more or less, being part Allotment 76, Parish of Titirangi.

Secondly, those portions of proposed street in the said land district and city to be known as Windemere Crescent, containing by admeasurement 23 perches and 21·4 perches, more or less, being parts Allotment 76, Parish of Titirangi.

Thirdly, those portions of proposed street in the said land district and city to be known as Rathlin Street, containing by admeasurement 27·6 perches and 1 rood 13·2 perches, more or less, being parts Allotment 76, Parish of Titirangi.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 150860 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
