MALVERN ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING AND LEVYING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, and all other powers enabling it thereto, the Malvern Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest, repayment of principal, and other charges on a loan of £6,500 authorised to be raised by the Malvern Electric Power Board under the provisions of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and amendments, the Statutes Amendment Act 1938, and the Local Bodies' Loans Amendment Act 1951, for the purpose of providing moneys for two further staff dwellings in Darfield, the Malvern Electric Power Board makes and levies a special rate of one thirty-ninth of a penny (1/39d.) in the pound on the capital value of all rateable property in the Malvern Electric Power District, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the first day of August in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

HUTT COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Belmont War Memorial Hall Loan 1956, £2,000
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Hutt County Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of £2,000 authorised to be raised by the Hutt County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing additional finance required for the completion of the Belmont War Memorial Hall, the said Hutt County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of six one-hundredths of a penny in the pound (6/100d. in £1) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Epuni Riding of the County of Hutt; such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Hutt County Council held on the 26th day of July 1956.

OTAKI BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and their respective amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Otaki propose, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts and all other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf, to take land for a public work, namely, road purposes, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Otaki Borough Council, Main Street, Otaki, and is there open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must submit their objections in writing, and send the same within forty days of the first publication of this notice to the Otaki Borough Council, addressed to the Town Clerk at the office of the said Council at Main Street, Otaki.

CERTIFIED COPY OF A RESOLUTION PASSED AT A MEETING OF THE AUCKLAND CITY COUNCIL HELD ON THE 21ST DAY OF JUNE 1956
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Municipal Corporations Act 1933 and amendments, the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Local Bodies' Loans Amendment Act 1951, the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926 and regulations thereunder, and of all other powers thereunto enabling it, the Auckland City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £30,000 to be known as the Waterworks Reservoirs Additional Loan 1956, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of completing the work on the Khyber Pass and Ponsonby reservoirs and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two twenty-fifths of one penny (2/25ths of 1d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Auckland; and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, or until the loan is fully paid off."

"That for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £150,000 to be known as the Building Acquisition Loan 1956, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of purchasing a building and meeting the cost of essential alterations, and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-twelfths of one penny (5/12ths of 1d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Auckland, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, or until the loan is fully paid off."

"That for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £410,000 to be known as the Waterworks Feeder Mains Loan 1955, which amount is proposed to be raised by the Auckland City Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of installing a North Shore feeder main, the carrying out of trunk main extensions and the installation of district feeder mains, and the cost of raising the loan, the said Auckland City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-two thirty-thirds of one penny (32/33rds of 1d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the annual value) of all rateable property in the City of Auckland, and that the said special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of the said loan, or until the loan is fully paid off."
