A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken, subject to the agreement as to fencing contained in memorandum of transfer No. 227376, for a recreation ground, and shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Birkenhead as from the date hereinafter mentioned; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 6th day of August 1956.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land taken: 17 acres and 38·3 perches.
Being Lots 156 to 163 (both inclusive), D.P. 20048. All certificate of title, Volume 484, folio 178, Auckland Land Registry.
