NAPIER CITY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Westshore Streets Loan 1954, of £89,300 (£10,000 Portion)
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Napier City Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000 (ten thousand pounds) authorised to be raised by the Napier City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reconstructing and sealing streets and footpaths at Westshore and providing kerbing and channelling and stormwater drainage, the said Napier City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of '005 (decimal nought nought five) of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the City of Napier; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 17th day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of five years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary meeting of shareholders of the above company held on the 27th day of June 1956, the following resolution was passed as a special resolution:
"That the company be wound up voluntarily, and that Mr Fredric Henry Harris, Public Accountant, of Wellington, New Zealand, be appointed liquidator."
All persons or companies having claims against the company are required to send full particulars to the undersigned on or before 20 August 1956 otherwise they may be excluded from participation in any distribution of assets.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Counties Act 1920 and the Public Works Act 1928.
Notice is hereby given that the Takaka County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute certain public works, namely, recreation reserve, and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the clerk to the said Council situated in Commercial Street, Takaka, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Tautau Water Supply Development Loan 1954 (£220,000), Third Issue £55,000
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Mount Maunganui Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on the loan of £55,000 authorised to be raised by the Mount Maunganui Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a supply of water to the Borough of Mount Maunganui and for the provision of land, easements, plant, and buildings ancillary to the establishment of such supply, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-five sixty-fourths pence (35/64d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all the rateable property in the Borough of Mount Maunganui; and such special rate shall be an annually recurring special rate during the currency of the loan and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off."
The foregoing resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Mount Maunganui Borough Council held on the 9th day of July 1956.
