HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the public work for which it was acquired.

Authorising the Construction of the Northcote–Albany Motorway

At the Government House at Wellington this 11th day of July 1956

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, and section 44 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, at the request of the National Roads Board, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the construction of a motorway commencing in the Waitemata Harbour in the vicinity of the mouth of the Onepoto Stream, proceeding thence through the Boroughs of Northcote and Takapuna and the County of Waitemata and terminating on the Birkenhead–Maungaturoto State Highway north of Albany.

Authorising the Construction of the Melling–Kaitoke Motorway

At the Government House at Wellington this 11th day of July 1956
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, and section 44 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, His Excellency the Governor-General, at the request of the National Roads Board, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the construction of a motorway commencing at the northern boundary of the City of Lower Hutt on the Western Hutt State Highway, proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction through the Hutt County and terminating at a point on the Masterton–Wellington State Highway in the vicinity of the Pakuratahi River Bridge.

Authorising the Laying Off of a Street Off Neeve Road in the Borough of Taradale, Subject to a Condition as to the Building Line

At the Government House at Wellington this 11th day of July 1956
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Taradale Borough Council to permit the laying off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width of less than 66 ft., but not less than 40 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land shown edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 150784 referred to in the said Schedule within a distance of 40 ft. from the centre line of the said street.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, Borough of Taradale, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 30 perches, more or less, being part Lot 280, Deeds Plan 142, and part Lot 13, Deeds Plan 263, being part Meeanee Suburban Section 55.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 150784 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
