A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the
Government Railways Act 1949, I, Major-General the
Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator
of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim
and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is
hereby taken for railway purposes.
SCHEDULE
ALL that parcel of land containing an area of 2 roods, more or
less, being Lots 53A and 59A, D.P. 500, being part Rural
Section 14536, Block XII, Kowai Survey District, and being
all the land comprised and described in certificate of title,
Volume 441, folio 250, Canterbury Registry; also all that
parcel of land containing an area of 1 rood 36 perches, more
or less, being Lots 4 and 5, D.P. 500, Springfield Township,
Block XII, Kowai Survey District, and being part of the land
comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 453,
folio 103, Canterbury Registry.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government, and issued under the Seal of New
Zealand, this 7th day of June 1956.

Public Utility Reserve Set Apart for Railway Purposes at
Picton

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Major-
General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric
Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New
Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the public utility
reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart
for railway purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation
shall take effect on and after the 18th day of June 1956.
SCHEDULE
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of public utility reserve set
apart: 2 roods 4 perches.
Being Section 1162, Town of Picton (public utility reserve).
Situated in Block XII, Linkwater Survey District, Borough
of Picton. (S.O. 753.)
In the Marlborough Land District; as the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 14149
deposited in the office of the New Zealand Railways Commission
at Wellington, and thereon edged red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government, and issued under the Seal of New
Zealand, this 7th day of June 1956.

Adding Land to the Mount Cook National Park

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT
IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 10 of the National Parks Act 1952,
His Excellency the Administrator of the Government,
acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council, hereby declares that the land described in the
Schedule hereto, being a reserve for aerodrome purposes subject
to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, shall as from the
date hereof be added to and form part of the Mount Cook
National Park, and shall hereafter be managed, administered,
and dealt with by the Mount Cook National Park Board in
accordance with the provisions of the first-mentioned Act.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT
PART Reserve 2652, situated in Blocks XIV and XVIII, Mueller
Survey District: Area, 78 acres 3 roods 30 perches, more or

Incorporated as the supply association for the Eketahuna Milk
Marketing District (as described in the Milk Marketing Order
1955) and for the South Wairarapa Milk Marketing District
(as described in the Milk Marketing Order 1955) with the
exception of the Borough of Masterton.

Authorising the Borrowing by the Auckland Metropolitan
Drainage Board by Way of Hypothecation of Debentures
Issued in Respect of a Loan of Β£2,700,000

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT
IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS by Order in Council made on the 5th day of
October 1955 consent was given to the raising by the
Auckland Metropolitan Drainage Board (hereinafter called the
said local authority) of an amount of five hundred thousand
pounds being portion of a loan of two million seven hundred
thousand pounds known as "Loan No. 19 1954":
And whereas the authority conferred by the said Order in
Council has not yet been fully exercised:
And whereas the said local authority, pending the raising of
portion of the said amount of five hundred thousand pounds
amounting to four hundred thousand pounds (hereinafter
called the said sum), is desirous of borrowing the said sum
by hypothecation or mortgage pursuant to section 34 of the
Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 of the debentures authorised to
be issued in respect of the said sum:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 7 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and Loans Conversion Act 1932-33
and section 8 of the Local Authorities Interest Reduction and
Loans Conversion Amendment Act 1933, His Excellency the
Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents
to the said local authority, pending the raising of the said
sum in accordance with the determinations of the Local
Government Loans Board, borrowing the said sum or any
part thereof by the hypothecation or mortgage of the said
debentures and hereby prescribes that the borrowing as afore-
said in respect of portion of the said sum amounting to two
hundred thousand pounds shall be for a term not exceeding
one and a half years at a rate of interest not exceeding four
and a half per cent per annum, and in respect of the balance
of the said sum amounting to two hundred thousand pounds
shall be for a term not exceeding two and a half years at a
rate of interest not exceeding four and three quarters per cent
per annum.
