RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

The Wellington City Conversion Renewal Loan 1956 of £43,000
THE following resolution was duly passed at a meeting of the Wellington City Council held on the 16th day of May 1956:
“In pursuance and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and its amendments, the Wellington City Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, repayment of principal, and other charges on a loan of forty-three thousand pounds (£43,000) to be known as the Wellington City Conversion Renewal Loan 1956 of £43,000, authorised to be raised by the Wellington City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of redeeming at maturity the outstanding balance of the Wellington City Conversion Loan No. 1 1935 of £134,300, the Wellington City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of thirty-five eight-hundredths of a penny (35/800d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the whole of the City of Wellington; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Water Supply Loan 1955
IN pursuance of and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and the Local Government Loans Board Act 1936 and of all other powers (if any) vested in it thereunto enabling, the Featherston Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and principal on the Featherston Borough Water Supply Improvement Loan of fifteen thousand seven hundred and fifty pounds (£15,750), authorised to be raised by the Featherston Borough Council under the above-mentioned Acts, for replacing corroded water mains and improvement to headworks, the said Featherston Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two decimal twenty-five pence (2·25d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Featherston; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of April and 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”
We hereby certify that the above is a true and correct extract from the minutes of a meeting of the Featherston Borough Council held at Featherston on the 8th day of March 1955.

We hereby certify that the above resolution was amended by a further resolution, passed by the Featherston Borough Council at its meeting held on 10 May 1956, which reads as follows:
“Pursuant to section 23 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, and in accordance with a variation of interest rate from 4¼ per cent to 4¾ per cent, granted by the Local Government Loans Board, the Featherston Borough Council makes and levies a special rate of 2¹¹/³² pence in the pound in place of the special rate of 2¼ pence in the pound.”

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the 11th day of May 1956, presented to the said Court by Ernest Christian Foote, of Auckland, Company Director; and that the said petition is directed to be heard before the Court sitting at Auckland on the 29th day of June 1956 at 10 o’clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to support or oppose the making of an order on the said petition may appear at the time of hearing in person or by his counsel for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same by the undersigned on payment of the regulated charge for the same.
