SMITH'S TANNERIES LIMITED
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION
NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 232 of the Companies Act 1933, that a final general meeting of the shareholders of Smith's Tanneries Limited (in voluntary liquidation) will be held at the office of the company, Commerce Building, Anzac Avenue, Auckland, on Thursday, 14 June 1956, at 2 p.m., for the purpose of having an account laid before the meeting showing the manner in which the winding up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the liquidator, and also of determining by extraordinary resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

HAWKE'S BAY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926, the Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of one hundred and fifty thousand pounds (£150,000) authorised to be raised by the Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board, under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of carrying out further reticulation in its district (excluding the Borough of Napier as constituted on the 6th day of July 1925), the said Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twelfth (1/12th) of a penny (d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property within the constituent districts of the County of Hawke's Bay, the Boroughs of Hastings, Havelock North, and Taradale and within that portion of the City of Napier as at present constituted which, on the 6th day of July 1925, was included in the County of Hawke's Bay; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten (10) years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

WHITIKAU SAWMILLING COMPANY LIMITED
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION
Notice of Meeting of Creditors
NOTICE is hereby given that, the company having resolved by entry in its minute book, pursuant to section 300 of the Companies Act 1933, to wind up voluntarily, a meeting of creditors of the said company will be held in the Borough Council Chambers, King Street, Opotiki, on Thursday, 31 May 1956, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon; at which meeting a full statement of the company's affairs, together with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their claims, will be laid before the meeting; and at which meeting the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company, and in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act may appoint a committee of inspection.

MEMBERS' VOLUNTARY WINDING UP
NOTICE is hereby given that, at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held on 10 May 1956, the following special resolutions were passed:
"1. In pursuance of section 221 (1) (b) of the Companies Act 1933, that the company go into liquidation and be wound up voluntarily.
"2. And that David Keith, Accountant, of Messrs Reid and Jones, Public Accountants, of Invercargill, be appointed liquidator of the company."
NOTICE TO CREDITORS TO PROVE
The liquidator of Fish Freezers Limited does hereby fix the 31st day of May 1956 as the day on or before which creditors of the company have to prove their claims or debts under section 258 of the Companies Act 1933. Otherwise they may be excluded from the benefits of any distribution made before such claims or debts are proved or, as the case may be, from objection to such distribution.

CENTRAL HAWKE'S BAY ELECTRIC POWER BOARD
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Reticulation Loan 1956, £25,000
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act 1926 and all other powers, if any, thereunto enabling, the Central Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:
"That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of principal and interest and other charges on a loan of twenty-five thousand pounds (£25,000) authorised to be raised by the Central Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board, pursuant to the provisions of section 15, Finance Act (No. 2) 1936, for the purpose of the further reticulation of the Board's area, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-tenth of one penny in the pound (1/10th of 1d. in the £) on the rateable property in the Central Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board district; and such rate shall be an annually recurring rate throughout the currency of such loan and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, or until the loan is fully paid off."
We certify that the above is a true and correct extract from the minutes of the Central Hawke's Bay Electric Power Board at a meeting held on Thursday, 17 May 1956, and at which the resolution was duly passed.
