Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 28th day of May 1956.

SCHEDULE

Approximate area of the piece of land declared Crown land: 33 perches.

Being Lot 3, Deeds Plan 21, being part Section 32, Tura-kina District.

Situated in Block XV, Ikitara Survey District.

In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 150359 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Declaring Land Taken for a Government Work and Not Required for That Purpose to be Crown Land

Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works hereby declares the land described in the Schedule hereto to be deemed to have been Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 6th day of September 1955.

Approximate area of the piece of land declared Crown land: 1 acre and 24·5 perches.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block VIII, Thames Survey District, for Road

Notice is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a road, and for the purposes of that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Kopu and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well grounded objections to the execution of the public work or to the taking of the land, set forth the same in writing, and send the writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Notice is hereby given that it is proposed under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute a certain public work, to wit, the construction of a road, and for the purposes of that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office at Te Kuiti and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well grounded objections to the execution of the public work or to the taking of the land, set forth the same in writing, and send the writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Works at Wellington.

Approval of Motor Cycle Safety Helmets in Terms of Traffic Regulations 1936

Pursuant to clause (9) of regulation 16 of the Traffic Regulations 1936* as inserted by regulation 5 of the Traffic Regulations 1936 Amendment No. 15, the Minister of Transport hereby approves, for the purposes of the said regulation, of the motor cycle safety helmets of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

Safety helmets, model number 250 N.Z., manufactured by Messrs Stadium Ltd., England.
