P URSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the leasehold estate in the land described in the Schedule hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Geoffrey Gregory Laing, of Masterton, Farmer, under and by virtue of Lease in Perpetuity No. 611, Wellington Land Registry, is hereby taken for State housing purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 14th day of May 1956.
