All that area in the Franklin County in the North Auckland Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block XII, Drury Survey District, within the boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. 43071, being the southernmost corner of Allotment 41, Parish of Opaheke, and running north-easterly along a right line to and along the north-western boundary of Allotment 44 of Suburban Section 5, Parish of Opaheke, along the north-western side of a public road, and along a right line across that road to and along the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 2 and 1, D.P. 29929, being parts of the aforementioned Allotment 41, and along a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the creek which forms the eastern boundary of that last-mentioned Lot 1, which runs through Lot 1, D.P. 38830, and which forms the western and southern boundaries of Allotment 88 of the said parish; thence north-easterly along the middle of that road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of the part Lot 5, Deeds Plan Whau 77, being part Allotments 48, 49, and 50, comprised in certificate of title, Volume 545, folio 272, and along a right line to and along that north-eastern boundary, to and along the northern and eastern boundaries of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 545, folio 273, being Lot 2 and part Lot 3, Deeds Plan Whau 77, being part Allotments 9, 48, and 49, to the south-eastern corner of that last-described area of land; thence along a right line to and along the eastern boundary of the part Lot 1, Deeds Plan Whau 77 aforesaid, being part Allotments 9, 47, and 48, comprised in certificate of title, Volume 545, folio 271, and along another right line being that last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the public road forming the south-eastern boundary of Lot 1, Deeds Plan Whau 77 aforementioned; thence still southerly generally along the middle of that road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 10, and along a right line to and along that north-eastern boundary, crossing the intersecting Tuakau-Pokeno via Whangarata Main Highway and the North Island Main Trunk Railway, to and along a right line being the production of that last-mentioned boundary across the public road which forms the northern and north-eastern boundaries of Allotment 68 to and along the southern and south-western sides of that public road, to and along the western boundary of Allotment 69, to and along the north-western and western sides of the public road forming the northern boundary of Allotment 59, the north-western and western boundaries of Allotment 60, and the western boundaries of Allotments 61 and 64, the aforesaid allotments all being of the Parish of Mangatawhiri aforementioned, to the right bank of the Waikato River; thence along a right line running due south to the left bank of that river in Block V, Maramarua Survey District, and westerly down that left bank, being part of the southern boundary of the County of Franklin as hereinbefore described, to a point in Block III, Onewhero Survey District, due south of the southernmost corner of Allotment 109, Parish of Tuakau; thence generally northerly along a right line to that southern-most corner, and along a series of right lines passing through Lots 4 and 3, D.P. 21399, through Lot 7, D.P. 22395, and through Lot 6, D.P. 21399 aforesaid, the said series of lines following the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 109 aforementioned, the southern boundary of Allotment 43, Parish of

Pukekohe, and the southern and eastern boundaries of Allotment 7, Parish of Tuakau, to the left bank of the Whakapipi Stream; thence along another right line running due north to and up the middle of that stream, to and up the middle of the Tutainui Stream, to a point in Block XV, Drury Survey District, in line with the south-eastern boundary of Allotment 9, Parish of Pukekohe, and along a right line to and along that boundary, to and along the western side of the North Island Main Trunk Railway, to and along the south-eastern and eastern boundaries of the Borough of Pukekohe as described in Gazette No. 47 of the 20th day of April 1916, page 1135, to and along the southern, eastern, and northern boundaries of Allotment 14, to and along the eastern boundaries of Allotments 13 and 3 (part of which latter boundary passes through Lot 3, D.P. 28052), the said allotments being of the Parish of Pukekohe aforesaid, to and along the eastern boundaries of the part Allotment 82, Parish of Karaka, shown as Lot 2, D.P. 34325, of the part Allotment 82 shown on D.P. 28589, and of part of Allotment 74, Parish of Karaka, shown on D.P. 7286, to and along the southern boundaries of part Lot 1, and of Lot 2, Deeds Plan Whau 28, being parts Allotment 81, Parish of Karaka aforementioned, along the southern and eastern boundaries of Lot 3, and the eastern boundary of Lot 4, both being shown on Deeds Plan Whau 28 aforementioned and being parts of the said Allotment 81, along the eastern side of the public road forming the western boundary of Allotment 31 of Suburban Section 5, Parish of Opaheke, and along a right line passing through Lot 1, D.P. 43071, to the southernmost corner of Allotment 41, Parish of Opaheke, the point of commencement; save and excepting thereout the Borough of Tuakau as hereinbefore described.

Reserve Bank of New Zealand

PURSUANT to section 45 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1933 (as amended by section 23 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Amendment Act 1936), the Governor of the Reserve Bank, acting with the authority of the Minister of Finance, hereby gives notice that as from 3 May 1956 the balance to be maintained in the Reserve Bank by each other bank for the time being carrying on business in New Zealand in accordance with the said section 45 shall be not less than the aggregate of 24 per centum of its demand liabilities in New Zealand, and 3 per centum of its time liabilities in New Zealand, as shown in the last preceding monthly return furnished by that bank in accordance with section 46 of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act 1933.

Declaring Lands in Otago Land District to be a Water Area for the Purposes of Section 50 of the Land Act 1948
