HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Authorising Henderson Borough Council to Fix Water Charges According to Quantity Used

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to section 97 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the Henderson Borough Council making and levying water rates and charges in respect both of the ordinary as well as of any extraordinary supply, according to the quantity of water consumed by any person receiving the same as measured by meter, at such rates or charges as may from time to time be fixed by any bylaw of the Council in that behalf, or as may be agreed on with any such person.

Taking Land for Public Purposes at Rarotonga (Cook Islands)

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to section 357 of the Cook Islands Act 1915, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby takes the land described in the Schedule hereto for the following public purpose, namely, access to public buildings.

SCHEDULE

All that parcel of land situated in the District of Avarua in the Island of Rarotonga, Cook Islands, containing 2 acres 3 roods 12 perches, more or less, being all of the land known as Section 34, Avarua; as the same is delineated and coloured blue on the plan signed by the Resident Commissioner of Rarotonga and deposited in the office of the Registrar of the High Court of the Cook Islands at Rarotonga under number 61.

Amending the Constitution of the Tahorakuri Rural Fire District

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1955, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby make the following order:

The Order in Council dated the 17th day of November 1948, and published in Gazette, 18 November 1948, Vol. III, page 1395, is hereby amended by omitting the Schedule to that Order in Council, and substituting the Schedule set out in the Schedule to this Order in Council.

SCHEDULE

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT (ROTORUA CONSERVANCY)—TAHORAKURI RURAL FIRE DISTRICT

All that area in the South Auckland Land District, Taupo County, containing approximately 52,000 acres, situated in Blocks II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XI, and XII, Tatua Survey District, and Blocks I, II, V, VI, and IX, Takapau Survey District, and bounded generally as follows:

towards the north-east, south-east, and south by the left bank of the Waikato River; towards the south-west and south-east by Tahorakuri, No. 2D Block; again towards the south-west by the south-western side of a road, by the southern side of the Rotorua-Taupo State Highway, and by the south-western sides of a road, a road reserve, and a road to its junction with a track through the Tatua East Block; towards the north-west by the aforesaid track to the southern boundary of Tutukau East B 6 Block, towards the north by Tutukau East B 6 Block, and thence by a right line from Te Toatoa to Mapourroa, and from that point to Trig. Station 1124 (Whakapapataringa); towards the north-west by a right line to the confluence of the Wharekaka Stream and the Waikato River; thence for a distance of half a mile by a right line running between the last-mentioned point and Trig. Station 1133 in Block IV, Tatua Survey District; towards the north generally by a line parallel to and half a mile distant from the northern bank of the Waikato River to a point on a right line between Trig. Station 1133 and the southern side of the bridge over the Waikato River on the Rotorua-Taupo State Highway; thence by the said right line to the last-mentioned point. As the same is more particularly delineated on plan No. 46/30 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
