Exempting Easements in the Nelson Land District From
the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

PURSUANT to the Coal Mines Act 1925, His Excellency
the Administrator of the Government hereby exempts
the easements described in the Schedule hereto from the
operation of Part III of the said Act.

SCHEDULE

(a) Agreement dated 6 December 1935 between John Cor-
coran and the Westport Coal Company Limited affecting deed
of lease No. 20159 in the books of the New Zealand Govern-
ment Railways Department.
(b) Agreement dated 6 December 1935 between David
Kerr and the Westport Coal Company Limited affecting deed
of lease No. 9328 in the books of the New Zealand Govern-
ment Railways Department.
(c) Agreement dated 6 December 1935 between Ellen
Moseley and the Westport Coal Company Limited affecting
part Section 26, Block II, Kawatiri Survey District.
(d) Agreement dated 6 December 1935 between Joseph
Cummings and the Westport Coal Company Limited affecting
quarry reserve in Section 85, Block II, Kawatiri Survey
District.
(e) Agreement dated 6 December 1935 between Thomas
Victor Griffiths and Frank Griffiths and the Westport Coal
Company Limited affecting Section 36, Block II, Kawatiri
Survey District.
(f) Agreement dated 6 December 1935 between Edward
Francis Byrne and the Westport Coal Company Limited affect-
ing deed of lease registered No. 17351 in the books of the
New Zealand Government Railways Department.
(g) Grant of right to erect power wires dated 28 January
1949 made between the Railways Department and the Mines
Department and registered in the books of the New Zealand
Government Railways Department under No. 28076.
(h) Unregistered memorandum of transfer dated 24 October
1941 made between Edward Colligan and the Westport Coal
Company Limited affecting Section 46, Block V, Kawatiri
Survey District, and the land comprised and described in
renewable lease, Volume 46, folio 157, Nelson Registry.
(i) All that the right, title, and interest created by memoran-
dum of transfer, registered No. 33186, affecting part of the
land in Section 26, Block V, Kawatiri Survey District, and
registered against the land comprised and described in certifi-
cate of title, Volume 9, folio 3, Nelson Registry.
(j) All that the right, title, estate, and interest created by
memorandum of transfer No. 33185, affecting part of the land
in Section 25, Block V, Kawatiri Survey District, and regis-
tered against the land comprised and described in certificate
of title, Volume 83, folio 68, Nelson Registry.
(k) All that the right, title, estate, and interest created by
memorandum of transfer No. 34123, affecting part of the land
in Sections 37, 39, 40, 41, and 42, Block V, Kawatiri Survey
District, and registered against the land comprised and
described in certificates of title, Volume 6, folio 186, Volume
19, folio 241, renewable lease, and Volume 81, folio 23,
Nelson Registry.
(l) All that the right, title, estate, and interest created by
memorandum of transfer No. 35410, affecting part of the land
in Section 31, Block VI, Kawatiri Survey District, and regis-
tered against the land comprised and described in renewable
lease registered in Volume 42, folio 125, Nelson Registry.

Exempting Land in the Taranaki Land District From the
Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

PURSUANT to the Coal Mines Act 1925, His Excellency
the Administrator of the Government hereby gives the
following notice:

NOTICE

THE land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby exempted
from the operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area of land in the Taranaki Land District contain-
ing 25 perches, more or less, situate in Block X, Mapara
Survey District, being Lot 2 on Deposited Plan 7349, and
being part of Rangitoto-Tuhua 79C 1, and being the residue
of the land in certificate of title, Volume 188, folio 10 (Tara-
naki Registry).

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government, this 17th day of April 1956.

ments, promotions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of
officers of the New Zealand Army:

Captain G. McC. Gray, E.D., The Canterbury Regiment,
relinquished the appointment of O.C., H.Q. Coy., 3rd Infantry
Brigade, and ceased to be seconded. Dated 1 October 1955.

Anthony Gifford Moore to be 2nd Lieutenant. Dated 24
September 1955.
1st Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A.
Lieutenant J. A. D. Holden, from the Reserve of Officers,
General List, The Royal N.Z. Artillery, to be Lieutenant, with
seniority from 10 May 1955. Dated 18 May 1955.
Lieutenant J. A. D. Holden is transferred to the Reserve of
Officers, General List, The Royal N.Z. Artillery, with the
rank of Lieutenant. Dated 23 January 1956.

2nd Field Regiment, R.N.Z.A.
Lieutenant N. O. Vickridge, M.A., ceases to be attached to
the Hastings High School Cadets. Dated 11 January 1956.
