A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Major-General the Right Honourable Sir Harold Eric Barrowclough, the Administrator of the Government of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for railway purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 30th day of April 1956.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart: 2 acres.

Being Sections 3, 4, 5, 6, 9, 10, 11, and 12, Block II, Town of Ward. (S.O. 739.)

In the Marlborough Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 14044 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Railways Commission at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

At the Government House at Wellington this 18th day of April 1956

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, at the request of the Minister of Agriculture made on the recommendation of the Rabbit Destruction Council, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby constitutes and declares the area of land, the boundaries of which are described in the Schedule hereto, being an area to which subsection (1) of section 14 of the Rabbits Act 1955 applies, a rabbit district, and appoints that the name of the said rabbit district shall be the Upper Shotover Rabbit District, and orders that the basis on which the rabbit board to be established for the said district shall first levy its general rate shall be the acreage of the land occupied by the ratepayer.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE UPPER SHOTOVER RABBIT DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Otago Land District and Lake County containing 204,000 acres, more or less, and being parts of Cascade, Matukituki, Forbes, Earnslaw, Polnoon, Motatapu, Skippers Creek, Soho, Knuckle Peak, and Shotover Survey Districts, and bounded as follows:

Commencing at Mount Aurum, Skippers Creek Survey District; thence north-westerly along the western boundary of Run 17 to Mount Ferguson, Earnslaw Survey District; thence northerly and north-easterly along the western and north-western boundaries of Run 20 to Mount Tyndall; thence easterly and southerly along the northern and eastern boundaries of Run 21 to the northern boundary of Polnoon Survey District; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Polnoon Survey District to Treble Cone; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of Polnoon Survey District, and southerly along the eastern boundary of Polnoon and Skippers Creek Survey Districts to Mount Hyde; thence south-easterly along a straight line to Trig. B, Soho Survey District; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Soho Survey District and southerly along the eastern boundary of Shotover Survey District to Soho Creek; thence westerly along Soho Creek to the Arrow River; thence generally south-westerly along the centre of the Arrow River to Bush Creek; thence generally westerly up that creek to and southerly along the western boundary of Section 24, Block XVII, Shotover Survey District; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundary of Run 26 to the south-eastern corner of Section 30, Block XVII, Shotover Survey District; thence south-westerly along a straight line to the Plane Table at Skippers Saddle on the Skippers Highway; thence south-westerly along a straight line to the south-western corner of part Run 27, Block XIX, Shotover Survey District, on the Shotover River; thence northerly along the centre of the Shotover River to Stony Creek, Skippers Creek Survey District; thence westerly and northerly along the centre of Stony Creek and the north-western boundary of Run 13 to Mount Aurum, the point of commencement.

PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become Government road.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road declared to be Government road: 3 acres and 10.7 perches.

Adjoining or passing through Allotment 63, Ruakaka Parish.

PURSUANT to section 186 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Havelock North Borough Council to lay off the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width of less than 66 ft., but not less than 40 ft.

SCHEDULE

THAT proposed street in the Hawke's Bay Land District, Borough of Havelock North, containing by admeasurement 3 roods 21.2 perches, more or less, being part Lots 12, 13, 14, 23, 26, 27, and 28, D.D.P. 48, and the part marked Right of Road on D.D.P. 48, being part Suburban Sections 31 and 47, Havelock North Town District.

As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 149800 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
