Directing Sale of Railway Land at Sylvia Park, Under the Public Works Act 1928

At the Government House at Wellington this 28th day of March 1956

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby directs the sale of the land described in the Schedule hereto, such land being no longer required for the public work for which it was taken.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land directed to be sold: 33·6 perches.

Being part Railway land in Proclamation 5712.

Situated in Block II, Otahuhu Survey District, Borough of Mount Wellington. (S.O. 39415.)

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 14018 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Railways Commission at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

Revocation of Order in Council Prohibiting All Alienations of Certain Maori Land Other Than Alienations in Favour of the Crown

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 254 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby revokes an Order in Council made on 10 April 1933, and published in the Gazette, 13 April 1933, Vol. I, page 736, prohibiting all alienations of the Maori land known as Tihoi 3B No. 1 and other blocks, other than alienations in favour of the Crown.

Investment of £35,000 of Timaru Harbour Board Funds

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 53 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Timaru Harbour Board to invest the sum of £35,000 of its renewal and reserve funds in debentures of the South Canterbury Co-operative Cool Stores Association, to be repayable over 5 years from the date of the investment by annual instalments of £7,000 and to bear interest at the maximum rate ruling for local body loans at the time of the investment.

PURSUANT to section 53 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Lyttelton Harbour Board to invest the sum of £1,000 in debentures of the Rangiora Borough Council Sewerage Loan 1955, out of its Special Crane Renewal Fund.

PURSUANT to section 53 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Lyttelton Harbour Board to invest in debentures of the loans shown in the first column of the Schedule hereto, out of the loan repayment account established pursuant to the Lyttelton Harbour Board Loan and Empowering Act 1955, the sums shown in the second column of the Schedule hereto.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Rabbits Act 1955, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

ORDER

  1. (1) This order may be cited as the Kaharoa Rabbit District Order 1956.

(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

  1. The boundaries of the Kaharoa Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 19th day of April 1950,* are hereby altered and redefined; and as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

BOUNDARIES OF THE KAHAROA RABBIT BOARD

ALL that area of approximately 113,300 acres in the Rotorua, Matamata, and Tauranga Counties, in the South Auckland Land District, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Ohaupara Stream where it is intersected by the north-western boundary of Section 3, Block II, Rotorua Survey District, and running north-easterly generally down the middle of that stream and the middle of the Mangorewa River, to the intersection with a right line between Trig. Station No. 1039 (Otanewainuku) in Block XVI, Otanewainuku Survey District, and the south-western corner of Section 3, Block VIII, Waihi South Survey District; thence easterly along that right line to the right bank of the Kaituna River; thence south-westerly generally up the said right bank, to and along the western shores of Lake Rotoiti, the north-western bank of the Ohau Channel, and the northern and western shores of Lake Rotorua to the middle of the Utuhina Stream; thence generally westerly up the middle of that stream, to and along the north-eastern and northern boundaries of the State forest described in Gazette 1941, page 2713, and along a right line being the last-mentioned boundary produced to the western side of South Road in Block VI, Horohoro Survey District; thence north-westerly generally along the western side of the aforesaid South Road, and the southern side of Cochrane Road, to a point in line with the eastern boundary of Section 4, Block I, Horohoro West Survey District; thence generally northerly along a right line to and along the eastern and northern boundaries of the aforesaid Section 4, to and along the south-eastern boundaries of the State forest containing an area of 3,030 acres and described in Gazette 1925, page 156, Sections
