PURSUANT to the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated 31 March 1954 and published in the Gazette, 1 April 1954, Vol. I, page 504, George Wilson Knapp, Esquire, of Wellington, being an officer of the Ministry of Works competent to advise the National Roads Board on administration, was appointed to be a member of the Board:
And whereas the said George Wilson Knapp has resigned from membership of the Board.
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 4 of the National Roads Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby appoints Donald Morgan Grover, Esquire, of Wellington, being an officer of the Ministry of Works, who is competent to advise the Board on administration,
to be a member of the National Roads Board.

Consenting to the Closing of Portion of Theodore Street in the Borough of Bluff

PURSUANT to the Municipal Corporations Act 1933, as amended by section 15 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1938, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the closing of the portion of Theodore Street in the Borough of Bluff, described in the Schedule hereto.

APPROXIMATE area of the portion of street affected: 25.4 perches.
Adjoining Lots 11-16 inclusive, Block III, D.P. 256 being part Section 8; and part Section 7, Block I, Campbelltown Hundred.
Situated in the Borough of Bluff. (S.O. 6179.)
In the Southland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W D. 145096 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

Authorizing the Laying-off of a Street off Wairakei Road in the City of Christchurch, Subject to a Condition as to the Building Line

THE RIGHT HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 15 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1953 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Christchurch City Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less than 50 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land shown edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 145625 referred to in the said Schedule, within a distance of 40 ft. from the centre line of the said street.

SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the Canterbury Land District, City of Christchurch, containing by admeasurement 1 acre and 34 perches, more or less, being part Lot 2, D.P. 9495, being part Rural Sections 2219 and 1601.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 145625 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.
