THE RIGHT HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 15 of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act 1953 and section 125 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the New Plymouth City Council to permit the laying-off of the proposed street described in the Schedule hereto at a width for part of its length of less than 66 ft., but not less than 40 ft., subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on Lots 1 to 7 (inclusive) and Lots 18 to 22 (inclusive) of a subdivision of the land adjoining the proposed street as shown edged green on the plan marked P.W.D. 145611 referred to in the Schedule hereto, within a distance of 35 ft. from the centre line of the said street.
SCHEDULE
THAT proposed street in the Taranaki Land District, City of New Plymouth, being an extension of Skinner Street, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 18 perches, more or less, being part Subdivision D of Moturoa Maori Reserve No. 1, Grey District.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 145611 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Declaring the Pongakawa Farm Settlement Road in the Tauranga County to be County Road

PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become county road.
SCHEDULE
ALL that portion of road in the South Auckland Land District, Tauranga County, situated in Block VI, Waihi South Survey District, commencing at a public road 3412Β·7 links north-west of the southern corner of part Lot 4, D.P. S. 774, being part Section 5 of the aforesaid Block VI, and proceeding thence in a north-easterly direction generally for a distance of approximately 37 chains, and terminating at a public road. (S.O. 35642.).
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 145612 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured red and marked B-A.

Declaring Portion of the Matawhero Farm Settlement Road in the Cook County to be County Road

Pursuant to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become county road.
SCHEDULE
ALL that portion of road in the Gisborne Land District, Cook County, known as the Matawhero Farm Settlement Road, commencing at the intersection of the north-west corner of Section 112, Block I, Turanganui Survey District, with the Gisborne-Wairoa via Morere State Highway, and proceeding thence in an easterly direction a distance of 56 chains approximately and terminating at a point being peg 2, S.O. Plan 1800. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 145680 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington and thereon coloured red and marked A-B.

Appointing a Member of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Council
C. W. M. NORRIE, Governor-General WHEREAS by a Warrant dated 28 November 1952 and published in Gazette, 4 December 1952, Vol. III, page 1996.
Reginald Trevor Smith, Esquire, of Wellington, Civil Engineer, as the officer of the Ministry of Works, was appointed to be a member of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Council:
And whereas the said Reginald Trevor Smith has resigned from membership of the said Council:
Now, therefore, pursuant to section 3 of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act 1941, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby appoint William Fairlee Young, Esquire, of Wellington, Civil Engineer, as the officer of the Ministry of Works,
to be a member of the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Council for a term commencing on 12 February 1955 and terminating on 7 July 1957.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 3rd day of February 1955.
