Present:
THE RIGHT HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 104 (3) of the Rating Act 1925,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby
varies an Order in Council made on 27 August 1952 and published
in the Gazette of 4 September 1952, Vol. III, at page
1446, exempting Section 126, Block VIII, Cape Survey District,
and other blocks, from payment of rates by excluding therefrom the land described in the Schedule hereto.

THE RIGHT HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953,
His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby sets apart the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto for the common use and benefit of the Ngatirangi and Ngatiuenuku sub-tribes of the Wainui Tribe as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a meeting place and recreation ground.

the Crown

THE RIGHT HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to subsection (2) of section 254 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby varies an Order in Council made on 11 April 1932 and published in the Gazette of 14 April 1932, Vol. I, page 761, prohibiting all alienations of the Maori land known at Kaimanawa 1E 2B and other blocks, other than alienations in favour of the Crown, by excluding therefrom the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Pursuant to section 53 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Lyttelton Harbour Board to invest the sum of nine thousand five hundred pounds (£9,500) of its Special Crane Renewal Fund in the Kaiapoi Borough Council Sewerage Loan.

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the assignment to Cyril Raymond Storer, of Inangahua Junction, Farmer, by John Herbert Petersen, Farmer, and Rosina Jane Petersen, Married Woman, both of Inangahua Junction, of their rights, powers, and privileges under an Order in Council dated the 18th day of July 1951 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on the 19th day of the same month at page 1005, authorizing them to use water for the purpose of generating electricity and to erect and use certain electric lines.
