OHURA COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

In the matter of the Counties Act 1920 and the Public Works Act 1928.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Ohura County Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction of a road, and for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the County Clerk to the said Council, situate in Main Street, Ohura, and is open for inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing, and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Ohura.

BLUFF BOROUGH COUNCIL

MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Staff Housing Loan 1954, £6,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Bluff Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £6,000 authorized to be raised by Bluff Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for staff housing, the said Bluff Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·922d. in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the Borough of Bluff, comprising the whole Borough of Bluff; and that such special rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 1st day of May and the 1st day of November in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’

TAUPIRI DRAINAGE AND RIVER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in their behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Taupiri Drainage and River Board hereby resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £5,500 (five thousand five hundred pounds) authorized to be raised by the Taupiri Drainage and River Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchases of machinery, the said Taupiri Drainage and River Board hereby makes and levies a special rate as under on the rateable classified lands in the existing drain maintenance and administrative classifications which are adopted for this purpose:

North Mangawara: ‘‘B’’ lands 6d. in the pound, ‘‘C’’ lands 4d., ‘‘D’’ lands 3d., ‘‘E’’ lands 2d., ‘‘F’’ lands ⅞d.
South Mangawara: ‘‘B’’ lands 5d., ‘‘C’’ lands 3¼d., ‘‘D’’ lands 1¾d., ‘‘F’’ lands 1¹⁄₁₆d.
Tauhei: ‘‘A’’ lands 6d., ‘‘B’’ lands 4½d., ‘‘C’’ lands 3d., ‘‘D’’ lands 1½d., ‘‘E’’ lands 1d., ‘‘F’’ lands ½d.
Komakorau: ‘‘B’’ lands 4½d., ‘‘C’’ lands 2¼d., ‘‘D’’ lands 1⅞d., ‘‘E’’ lands ⅞d., ‘‘F’’ lands ⁷⁄₁₆d.
Tenfoot: ‘‘A’’ lands 6d., ‘‘B’’ lands 4½d., ‘‘C’’ lands 3d.
Freshfield: ‘‘A’’ lands 6d., ‘‘B’’ lands 5d., ‘‘C’’ lands 3½d., ‘‘D’’ lands 1½d., ‘‘E’’ lands ⅞d., ‘‘F’’ lands ½d.
Uapoto: ‘‘A’’ lands 5d., ‘‘B’’ lands 3¾d., ‘‘C’’ lands 2½d., ‘‘D’’ lands 1¼d., ‘‘E’’ lands ⅝d., ‘‘F’’ lands 5/12d.

And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’

The above is a resolution passed at a meeting of the Taupiri Drainage and River Board held on the 8th day of December 1955.

NOTICE is hereby given that ‘‘Home and Colonial Stores (Fitzroy) Limited’’ has changed its name to ‘‘Denby Stores (N.Z.) Limited’’, and that the new name was this day entered on my Register of Companies in place of the former name.

NOTICE is hereby given that the following special resolution was adopted by the above company on the 5th day of December 1955:

‘‘That the company be wound up voluntarily and that James William Coney, of Auckland, Public Accountant, be appointed liquidator.’’

Any person, firm, or company having any claims against the company is requested to furnish full particulars of such claim to me on or before the 31st day of January 1956.

NOTICE is hereby given that by a special resolution passed at a meeting of shareholders held in the registered office, 47 Esk Street, on the 8th day of December 1955, at 7 p.m., it was resolved:

‘‘1. That in pursuance to section 221 (1) (b) of the Companies Act 1933, that the company be wound up voluntarily.

‘‘2. And that David Keith, of Invercargill, Accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company.’’

Notice to Creditors to Prove

The liquidator of C. H. Wyeth and Sons Limited does hereby fix the 18th day of January 1956 as the day on or before which creditors of the company have to prove their claims or debts under section 258 of the Companies Act 1933, otherwise they may be excluded from the benefits of any distribution made before such claims or debts are proved or as the case may be from objection to such distribution.
