TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953
—
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that pursuant to the
provisional approval of the Town Planning Board on
the 24th day of November 1953, a district scheme has been
recommended for approval under the Town and Country
Planning Act 1953.
The scheme relates to the Heretaunga–Pinehaven Section
of the Hutt County’s District.
The scheme has been deposited in the following places and
is there open for inspection (without fee) to all persons
interested therein at any time when the above places are open
to the public, viz.:
(1) Hutt County Council Office, Bowen House, Bowen Street,
Wellington.
(2) Pinehaven Public Library, Forest Road, Pinehaven.
(3) Post Office, Heretaunga.
Objections to the scheme or to any part thereof shall be in
writing in the form No. 4 prescribed in the First Schedule to
the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, and shall
be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later
than the 31st day of March 1956.
At a later date every objection will be open for public
inspection, and any person who wishes to support or oppose
any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of
objections if he notifies the County Clerk in writing within
a period of which public notice will be given.

NORTH AUCKLAND ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
Reticulation Loan 1955, £150,000
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and its
amendments, and of all other powers it thereunto enabling,
the North Auckland Electric Power Board hereby resolves as
follows:
‘‘That, for the purpose of providing for the repayment of
the principal and the payment of interest and other charges
on the Board’s Reticulation Loan 1955, £150,000, authorized
to be raised by the North Auckland Electric Power Board
under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of supplying
and distributing electrical energy for the benefit of the
North Auckland Electric Power District, and for such purpose
to do all or any of such matters and things which the Board is
empowered to do by the Electric Power Boards Act 1925 and
its amendments, and by all other powers and authorities it
enabling, the North Auckland Electric Power Board hereby
makes and levies a special rate of forty-seven fiftieths of one
penny (47/50d.) in the pound (£1) upon the rateable value
(on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable pro-
perty in the North Auckland Electric Power District; such
special rate to be an annually recurring rate during the cur-
rency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 16th day
of January in each and every year, being a period of twenty
(20) years, or until the loan is fully repaid.’’
Notice is hereby given that the above resolution was passed
at a meeting of the North Auckland Electric Power Board
held on the 8th day of December 1955.

TOKANUI RABBIT BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926 and amend-
ments, the Tokanui Rabbit Board hereby resolves as follows:
‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest, repay-
ments of principal, and other charges on a loan of £5,000
authorized to be raised by the Tokanui Rabbit Board under
the above-mentioned Act for housing purposes in respect of
the said Tokanui Rabbit Board No. 1 Housing Loan, the
Tokanui Rabbit Board hereby makes and levies a special
rate of 1·15926d. upon each acre of all rateable property of
the Tokanui Rabbit Board District, comprising the whole of
the said district; and that the special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable
yearly on the 7th day of March in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, and that the said rate is per-
manently pledged and appropriated as security of the said
loan of £5,000 and interest, and that the valuation roll is
open for inspection at the office of the said Board in the Town
of Wyndham (without fee) by all ratepayers during office
hours.’’

MARTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
—
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928 and the Municipal
Corporations Act 1954 and their respective amendments.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Marton Borough Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned
Acts, to execute certain public works, namely, the provision of
a sports ground and for the purposes of such public works the
lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be
taken.
Notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so
required to be taken is deposited in the office of the Council
at High Street, Marton, and is available for inspection (with-
out fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of such works or by
the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objec-
tions to the same must state their objections in writing, and
send the same to or lodge the same at the office of the said
Marton Borough Council at High Street, Marton, within
forty days from the first publication of this notice, i.e., on or
before the 27th day of January 1956.

36 perches, more or less, being part Lot 4, Deeds Plan
No. 184, being part Block VIII, Rangitikei District, situated
in Block III, Rangitoto Survey District. -
1 rood, more or less, being part of old river bed, part of

BOROUGH OF NEWMARKET

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
—
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the
Newmarket Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:
‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £10,000 authorized to be raised by the
Newmarket Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act
for the purpose of purchasing property situated in Davis
Crescent, Newmarket, for municipal purposes, the said New-
market Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of one decimal seven five pence (1·75d.) in the pound
upon the rateable value (on the basis of annual value) of all
rateable property in the Borough of Newmarket; and that
such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day
of August in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is
fully paid off.’’

ANNUAL ELECTION OF THREE MEMBERS OF THE BOARD OF
GOVERNORS

HEREBY give public notice of the result of the annual
election held on Monday, the 5th day of December 1955,
to fill the three vacancies on the Board of Governors of
Canterbury Agricultural College.
One member to be elected by such of the members of the
House of Representatives as for the time being represent
electoral districts wholly or partly within the Provincial
District of Canterbury.
I hereby declare Arthur John Smith, being the only
nomination received, to be duly elected to the Board of
Governors to hold office for a period of three years com-
mencing on the 1st day of January 1956.
One member to be elected by the graduates of the University
of New Zealand whose names are on the books of the College
and the holders of diplomas granted by the College.

I hereby declare William Cunningham Stafford to be duly
elected to the Board of Governors to hold office for a period

Governors to hold office for a period of three years com-
mencing on the 1st day of January 1956.
