Plant Declared a Noxious Weed in the County of Manawatu
(Notice No. Ag. 6016)
Pursuant to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, and acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said Act, the Acting Director-General of Agriculture hereby publishes the following special order made by the Manawatu County Council on the 10th day of March 1953.
SPECIAL ORDER
That the Manawatu County Council resolves by way of special Order that the plant named silver poplar (Populus alba var. nivea) be declared a noxious weed in the County of Manawatu.

Land in the Canterbury Land District Acquired as Permanent State Forest Land
Notice is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired under the Forests Act 1949 as permanent State forest land.
SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT—CANTERBURY CONSERVANCY
All that area in Kowai County, containing 11 acres 1 rood 33 perches, more or less, being Reserve 4822, situated in Blocks XIV and XV, Grey Survey District, being Lot 1 on D.P. 18296, formerly part of Rural Section 35553, and being part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 620, folio 80. As shown on plan No. 136/19 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
