Declaring Lands in Taranaki and Marlborough Land Districts
Vested in the Taranaki and Wellington Education Boards
as Sites for Public Schools to be Vested in Her Majesty
the Queen

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Proclamation, declare that any school site or part of a school site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty; and thereupon the school site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements, affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the First Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Taranaki Education Board, and the land described in the Second Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Wellington Education Board as sites for public schools, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT

SECTION 1, Koru Town Belt, situated in Block II, Wairau Survey District: Area, 7 acres 1 rood 37 perches, more or less. Part certificate of title, Volume 19, folio 151. (S.O. Plan 7716.)

Land Set Apart as Provisional State Forest Declared to be Subject to the Land Act 1948

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (2) of section 19 of the Forests Act 1949, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, acting on the joint recommendation of the Minister of Lands and of the Minister of Forests hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto, being provisional State forest reserve set apart by Proclamation dated the 7th day of October 1930, and published in Gazette, 9 October 1930, Vol. III, page 3128, is required for settlement purposes; and in accordance with the provisions of the said Act, such land shall, from and after the day of the gazetting hereof, cease to be provisional State forest land, and shall become Crown land available for sale, lease, reservation, or other disposition under the provisions of the Land Act 1948.

SCHEDULE
WESTLAND LAND DISTRICT

RESERVE 1746, situated in Block XIV, Waimea Survey District: Area, 357 acres, more or less, excluding roads.

Revoking the Reservation Over Lands in Canterbury Land District Reserved for Plantation Purposes

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 15 of the Selwyn Plantation Board Act 1953, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby revokes the reservation for plantation purposes over the lands described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT

Lot 1, D.P. 18200, being part Reserve 2576, situated in Blocks XIV and XV, Hororata Survey District: Area, 1 acre and 16·1 perches, more or less.

Also Lot 3, D.P. 18200, being part Rural Section 29060, situated in Block XV, Hororata Survey District: Area, 1 acre and 23·7 perches, more or less. Part certificate of title, Volume 103, folio 47.

Also, Lot 5, D.P. 18202, being part Reserve 2575, situated in Block III, Hall Survey District: Area, 1 rood 36·3 perches, more or less.

Declaring Land to be Crown Land

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 265 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown land and to be subject to the Land Act 1948.

SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

ALL that piece of land containing 6 acres, more or less, known as part Umuhapuku No. 2A Block, situated in Block II, Tauranga Survey District, being part of certificate of title, Volume 47, folio 239, and shown on the plan marked L. and S. 6/6/531 deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (M.L. 17328.)
