Declaring Lands in North Auckland, Canterbury, and Otago Land Districts Vested in the Auckland, Canterbury, and Otago Education Boards as Sites for Public Schools to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION

WHEREAS by subsection (6) of section 5 of the Education Lands Act 1949 (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) it is provided that, notwithstanding anything contained in any other Act, the Governor-General may from time to time, by Proclamation, declare that any school site or part of a school site which in his opinion is no longer required for that purpose shall be vested in Her Majesty; and thereupon the school site, or part thereof, as the case may be, shall vest in Her Majesty, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements, affecting the same at the date of the Proclamation:

Now, therefore, pursuant to subsection (6) of section 5 of the said Act, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the First Schedule hereto, being areas vested in the Auckland Education Board, and the lands described in the Second Schedule hereto, being areas vested in the Canterbury Education Board, and the land described in the Third Schedule hereto, being an area vested in the Otago Education Board, as sites for public schools, shall be vested in Her Majesty the Queen, freed and discharged from every educational trust affecting the same, but subject to all leases, encumbrances, liens, or easements affecting the same at the date hereof.

FIRST SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

PART Allotment 8, Arapohoe Parish, situated in Block I, Tokatoka Survey District: Area, 2 acres, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 517, folio 267 (limited as to parcels and title). As shown on the plan marked L and S. 6/6/1242E deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red.

Declaring Land in Southland Land District Vested in the Southland Education Board as a Site for a Public School to be Vested in Her Majesty the Queen

A PROCLAMATION

As shown on the plan marked L and S. 6/6/1048A deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington, and thereon edged red. (S.O. Plan 6250.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 16th day of December 1955.
