Scheme of Control of Opotiki College
PURSUANT to section 93 of the Education Act 1914, the Minister of Education hereby approves of Opotiki College being controlled as from 1 February 1956 in accordance with the Standard Scheme of Control for Secondary Schools published in the Gazette on 6 December 1928, Volume III, page 3451:
Provided that—
(a) The Standard Scheme shall be read as if clauses 7, 8, and 9 were revoked;
(b) Clause 11 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if the words “Such election shall be held in the first week of the month of May in the year 1929” were omitted, and the words “The first such election shall be held on a date to be fixed by the South Auckland Education Board, and subsequent elections shall be held in the first week of the month of May in the year 1958” were substituted therefor;
(c) Clause 19 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if every reference to the year 1929 were a reference to the year 1958;
(d) Clause 43 of the Standard Scheme shall be read as if the words “The Secretary shall be insured under a fidelity bond for a sum of not less than five hundred pounds” were omitted.

Declaration That Parts of the Upper Riccarton Domain Shall be Recreation Reserves and Vesting in the Paparua County Council
PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby declares that parts of the Upper Riccarton Domain described in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be subject to the provisions of Part II of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, and shall be deemed to be recreation reserves subject to Part II of the said Act, and further, pursuant to the said Act, vests the said reserves in the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Paparua, in trust, for purposes of recreation.

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that, pursuant to section 20 (1) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, approval has been granted to the Matamata County Council to prepare, recommend, and approve its district scheme by sections, as follows:
(1) Waihora Section described in the First Schedule hereto.
(2) Matamata Section described in the Second Schedule hereto.
(3) Hinuera Section described in the Third Section hereto.
(4) Te Poi Section described in the Fourth Schedule hereto.
(5) Tiraun Section described in the Fifth Schedule hereto.
(6) Putaruru Section described in the Sixth Schedule hereto.
(7) Arapuni Section described in the Seventh Schedule hereto.

MATAMATA COUNTY DISTRICT SCHEME (WAHORA SECTION)
ALL that area in Block XIII, Wairere Survey District, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the right bank of the Waiota River in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 16, D.P. 850, being part of Matamata South Block and running easterly generally along a right line to and along the south-eastern boundary of the aforesaid Lot 16, along a right line across a public road, the Frankton-Botora Railway and Waiota-Tirau Main Highway, to and along the southern boundary of Lot 6 on the aforesaid D.P. 850, being part of Matamata South Block aforesaid, to the western corner of Lot 1 on D.P. 13299; thence southerly generally along the eastern side of a public road forming the western boundary of Lot 1 aforesaid and Lot 2 on the aforesaid plan 13399, to and along the southern boundary of the last-mentioned Lot, to and along the western boundary of part Lot 9A on the aforesaid D.P. 850, along a right line across Mowbray Road, to and along the eastern boundaries of Lots 10A and 10 on the aforesaid D.P. 850, all the aforesaid Lots being part of Matamata South Block, to a point in line with the northern boundary of Lot 21 on D.P. 850 aforesaid; thence westerly along a right line to and along the northern boundary of the said Lot 21 to a point 23 chains distant from the north-eastern corner of the aforesaid Lot; thence northerly along a right line to the easternmost point on that part of the right bank of the Waiota River adjacent to Section 18A, Matamata Settlement, and down that right bank to the point of commencement.

ALL that area in Block II, Tapapa Survey District, bounded by a line commencing at the easternmost corner of Section 110, Matamata Settlement, and running south-easterly and south-westerly along the boundaries of the Matamata Borough as described in Gazette No. 87 of the 29th day of November 1934, page 3772, to the northern side of Station Road; thence north-westerly and then north-easterly along the northern side of that road and the eastern boundary of Section 110 aforesaid, to the point of commencement.
Also all that area in Block II, Tapapa Survey District, bounded by a line commencing at the easternmost corner of the Borough of Matamata and being a point on the south-western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 12857, being part of Section 49, Matamata Settlement, and running south-easterly along the aforesaid south-western boundary to a point in line with the boundary between Lots 2 and 3, D.P. 16804, being parts of Section 84 of the aforesaid Settlement; thence south-westerly along a right line crossing Lot 1, D.P. 12984, and Lot 3, D.P. 8,803, being part of Section 41, Matamata Settlement aforesaid, and the Matamata-Tararanga Main Highway, to and along the boundary between Lots 2 and 3 aforesaid to the north-eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 12856, being part of Section 85, Matamata Settlement; thence north-westerly along the aforesaid north-eastern boundary to and north-easterly along the boundary of the Borough of Matamata as described in Gazette No. 87 of the 29th day of November 1934, page 3772, to the point of commencement.
Also all that area in Blocks II and VI, Tapapa Survey District, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the southern boundary of the Borough of Matamata with the western side of the Waiota-Tirau Main Highway (Fifth Street) and running southerly along the aforesaid western side to the north-eastern corner of Lot 1, D.P. 11773, being part of Section 104, Matamata Settlement; thence westerly along the northern boundary of the aforesaid Lot 1, to and north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 25682, being part of Section 106, Matamata Settlement, to the boundary of the Borough of Matamata; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of the aforesaid Borough as described in Gazette No. 87 of the 29th day of November 1934, page 3772, to the point of commencement.
