Licensing Horace Tomkies to Use and Occupy a Part of the Bed of the Lake at Bob’s Cove, Lake Wakatipu, as a Site for a Jetty

At the Government House at Wellington this 30th day of November 1955
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby licenses and permits Horace Tomkies, of Queenstown (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his executors, administrators, or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the bed of the lake at Bob’s Cove, Lake Wakatipu, as shown on approved plan marked M.D. 6335, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a jetty as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE

This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of November 1955.

The premium payable by the licensee shall be two pounds (£2) and the annual sum so payable ten pounds (£10).

PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby licenses and permits Irvine Templeton, of Queenstown (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his executors, administrators, or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the bed of the lake at Queenstown Bay, Lake Wakatipu, as shown on the plan M.D. 9580, and as shown on plan marked M.D. 7661 the site marked “Thelma”, both of these plans being deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a jetty as shown on the said plans, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby licenses and permits Irvine Templeton (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his executors, administrators, or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the bed of the lake at Queenstown Bay, Lake Wakatipu, as shown on plan marked M.D. 7661, and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of storing rowboats in the area between the jetties marked “Thelma” and “Kelvin”, and in the area outlined in green and marked “D” on the said plan marked M.D. 7661, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE

This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

Licensing Walter John Robertson to Use and Occupy a Part of the Foreshore in Mangawai Harbour as a Site for a Metalled Road

At the Government House at Wellington this 30th day of November 1955
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby licenses and permits Walter John Robertson (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include his executors, administrators, or assigns, unless the context requires a different construction), to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and land below low-water mark in Mangawai Harbour as shown on plan marked M.D. 9899 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, for the purpose of constructing and maintaining thereon a metalled road as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE

This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1940, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of November 1955.

The premium payable by the licensee shall be five pounds (£5) and the annual sum so payable five pounds (£5).

The licensee shall remove the metalled road within three months from the date of a notice in writing to do so from the Minister of Marine or from the Otamatea County Council.

Authorizing the Nelson City Council to Reclaim Land in Nelson Harbour

At the Government House at Wellington this 30th day of November 1955
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS it is provided by sections 185 and 188 of the Harbours Act 1950 (hereinafter called the said Act), where any local authority is desirous of executing or constructing upon lands vested in such local authority or upon lands of the Crown any harbour works of such a nature that the same could, but for these sections, only be carried out and executed under the authority of a special Act, the local authority may apply to the Governor-General in Council for a special order, and, if the Governor-General in Council thinks fit, such order may be made or granted:
And whereas the Nelson City Council (hereinafter called the Council) is desirous of reclaiming from the sea certain land in Nelson Harbour, and the said harbour works are of such a nature as aforesaid, and the Council has applied to the Governor-General in Council for a special order authorizing the execution of the said harbour works:
And whereas all the conditions precedent to the granting of a special order prescribed by section 185 of the said Act have been duly complied with:
And whereas it has been made to appear to the Governor-General in Council that the proposed work will not be or tend to the injury of navigation:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the said Act, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes and empowers the Council to reclaim from the sea in Nelson Harbour all the lands containing 7 acres 1 rood 32 perches, more or less, coloured yellow on plan marked M.D. 9942 and deposited in the office of the Marine Department at Wellington, and to construct a reclamation and retaining walls in connection therewith, provided such reclamation and the construction of such retaining walls is carried out in accordance with plans marked M.D. 9942, subject to the provisions of the said Act; and hereby orders that the said harbour works shall be completed within a period of two years from the date of this Order in Council.
