The Waimairi Cemetery Order 1955

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 30th day of November 1955
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Cemeteries Act 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
- (1) This order may be cited as the Waimairi Cemetery Order 1955.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 1st day of December 1955.

The Waimairi County Council is hereby appointed to be the trustee of the Waimairi Cemetery, being the area described in the Schedule hereto, and shall have the control and management of that cemetery under and for the purposes of the Cemeteries Act 1908.

(1) The delegation to the Waimairi County Council of the powers of appointing and removing trustees for the said cemetery made by Order in Council dated the 18th day of September 1933,* is hereby revoked.
(2) The said Order in Council is hereby accordingly amended by omitting from the second column of the Schedule the word “Waimairi”, where it occurs opposite the reference to the Waimairi County Council in the first column of that Schedule.
SCHEDULE
WAIMAIRI CEMETERY
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, containing 7 acres 2 roods 16 perches, more or less, being Reserve 3740, situated in Block X, Christchurch Survey District, and being the whole of the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 245, folio 239, Canterbury Registry.

Confering on Taranaki County Council Certain Powers of Borough Councils With Respect to Water Supply

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to section 182 of the Counties Act 1920, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby confers on the Taranaki County Council all the powers with respect to the supply of water for domestic or industrial purposes exercisable by a duly constituted borough council under sections 95, 96, 98 to 109, and Part XVII (with the exceptions of sections 246, 248, and 249), and section 309 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

Warrant Proclaiming Road Under Section 607 of the Cook Islands Act 1915
Pursuant to section 607 of the Cook Islands Act 1915, the Minister of Island Territories hereby proclaims as road the lands described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
(1) All that parcel of land situate in the District of Avarua in the Island of Rarotonga, Cook Islands, containing 24·1 perches, more or less, being part Ngatiare Section 91, Taku-vaine Tapere, as delineated and coloured sepa on the plan signed by the Resident Commissioner of Rarotonga and deposited in the office of the Registrar of the High Court of the Cook Islands at Rarotonga under No. 59.
(2) All those parcels of land situate in the District of Avarua in the Island of Rarotonga, Cook Islands, containing 1·6 and 7·9 perches, more or less, being parts of Enuakura Section 205A 1 Tutakimoa Tapere, as delineated and coloured orange on the plan signed by the Resident Commissioner of Rarotonga and deposited in the office of the Registrar of the High Court of the Cook Islands at Rarotonga under No. 59.
(3) All that parcel of land situate in the District of Avarua in the Island of Rarotonga, Cook Islands, containing 0·2 of a perch, more or less, being part of Puoromea Section 49E, Tutakimoa Tapere, as delineated and coloured blue on the plan signed by the Resident Commissioner of Rarotonga and deposited in the office of the Registrar of the High Court of the Cook Islands at Rarotonga under No. 59.
Given under the hand of the Minister of Island Territories and the Seal of the Cook Islands this 29th day of November 1955.

Promotion
Flying Officer Russell Victor SMITH (75618) is granted the temporary rank of Flight Lieutenant with effect from 14 November 1955.
Transfer and Extension of Commission
Flight Lieutenant Leslie Cecil JEFFS, B.Com., A.R.A.N.Z. (74131), is transferred from the Administrative and Supply Branch (Secretarial Division) to the General Duties Branch with his present rank and seniority, and is granted an extension of his commission for a period of four years, both with effect from 17 October 1954.
Amendment
In Gazettes No. 87 dated 17 September 1942, page 2383, No. 37 dated 30 May 1943, page 549, No. 4 dated 25 January 1945, page 53, No. 15 dated 14 March 1946, page 334, and No. 28 dated 6 May 1954, page 679, the notices published relating to “Jack Mahiti WILSON” should read “John Mahiti WILSON”.
