HOROWHENUA ELECTRIC POWER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Horowhenua Electric Power Board Electric Reticulation
Loan No. 10, 1955, £40,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, and of all
other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Horowhenua
Electric Power Board hereby resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
principal, interest, and other charges on the Horowhenua
Electric Power Board Electric Reticulation Loan No. 10, 1955,
of £40,000, authorized to be raised by the Horowhenua Elec-
tric Power Board under the above-mentioned Act for the
purpose of further extending reticulation in the Board’s
district, the said Board hereby makes and levies a special
rate of 1/24th of a penny in the pound on the rateable value
(on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in
the Horowhenua Electric Power Board District, as defined in
the Proclamation appearing in the Gazette, No. 100, of the
1st day of December 1921; and that such special rate shall
be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such
loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of December in
each and every year during the currency of such loan, being
a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully
paid off.’’

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan 1955, £20,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, and all other
Acts and powers it thereunto enabling, the Otorohanga County
Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £20,000 authorized to be raised by the
Otorohanga County Council under the above-mentioned Act for
rural housing, the said Otorohanga County Council hereby
makes and levies a special rate of thirty-seven sixty-fourths
of one penny (37/64d.) in the pound upon the unimproved
rateable value of all rateable property comprising the whole
of the County of Otorohanga; and that such special rate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and
be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
twenty-five (25) years, or until the loan is fully repaid.’’

I hereby certify that the above resolution was duly passed
at an ordinary meeting of the Otorohanga County Council held
on the 21st day of November 1955.

ter No. 390, held at Auckland, is dissolved by instrument,
registered at this office the 21st day of November 1955, unless,
within three months from the date of the Gazette in which
this advertisement appears, proceedings be commenced by a
member or other person interested in or having a claim on
the funds of the society to set aside such dissolution, and the
same to be set aside accordingly.

PURSUANT to section 300 (7) of the Companies Act 1933,
notice is hereby given that at a meeting of A. W. Mayall
Limited held on 21 November 1955 the following resolutions
were passed:

(1) As an extraordinary resolution—

‘‘That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities con-
tinue its business, and that it is advisable to wind-up, and that
the company be wound up voluntarily.’’

(2) As an ordinary resolution—

‘‘That Mr Richard George Finn, of Te Awamutu, Public
Accountant, be nominated liquidator of the company in accord-
ance with the provisions of section 235 of the Companies Act
1933.’’

And that a meeting of the creditors of the said company
will be held, pursuant to section 300 (7) of the Companies
Act 1933, at the Chamber of Commerce Board Room, Court-
house Lane, Auckland, on Tuesday, the 29th day of November
1955, at 11 o’clock in the forenoon, at which meeting a full
statement of the position of the company’s affairs together
with a list of the creditors and the estimated amount of their
claims will be laid before the meeting, and at which meeting
the creditors, in pursuance of section 235 of the said Act, may
nominate a person to be the liquidator of the company, and
in pursuance of section 236 of the said Act may appoint a
committee of inspection.
