CHANGE OF SURNAME

KNOW all men by these presents (which are intended to be
enrolled in the Registry of the Supreme Court of New
Zealand at Wellington) that I, EUGENE GREGORY COLLOTT, of
Lower Hutt, Artist, now lately called EUGENE GREGORY
TRIFONOFF, do hereby for and on behalf of myself, my wife,
and my children and remoter issue, absolutely renounce and
abandon the use of my former surname TRIFONOFF, and in
lieu thereof do assume and adopt the surname of COLLOTT, so
that I and my wife and my children and remoter issue may
henceforth be called and known not by my former surname of
TRIFONOFF but by my assumed name of COLLOTT, and for the
purpose of evidencing such change I hereby declare that I
shall at all times henceforth in all actions and proceedings,
dealings, and transactions, and upon all occasions use and sub-
scribe the said surname of COLLOTT in lieu of my former sur-
name of TRIFONOFF, and I hereby expressly authorize and
request all persons at all times henceforth to designate and
address me and my wife and my children and remoter issue
by my said surname of COLLOTT accordingly.

In witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my adopted
and substituted name of EUGENE GREGORY COLLOTT this 11th
day of November 1955.

voluntary liquidation as from the 16th day of November 1955.

THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday
evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be
received by the Government Printer before 12 o’clock of the
day preceding publication.

Subscriptions.—The subscription is at the rate of £5 5s. per
calendar year, including postage, Payable in Advance.

Single copies of the Gazette as follows:—
For the first 16 pages, 6d., increasing by 6d. for every
subsequent 8 pages or part thereof.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 9d. per line for
the first insertion, and 6d. per line for the second and any
subsequent insertions.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, etc., should be written in a legible hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.

STATUTORY REGULATIONS

Under the Regulations Act 1936 statutory regulations of
general legislative force are no longer published in the New
Zealand Gazette, but are supplied under any one or more of
the following arrangements:

(1) All regulations serially as issued (punched for filing),
subscription £2 per calendar year in advance.

(2) Annual volume (including index) bound in buckram,
£1 10s. (Volumes for years 1936–37 and 1939–42 are
out of print.)

(3) Serially as issued and annual bound volume, as in (1)
and (2) above, on combined subscription basis, £3 3s.
per calendar year in advance.

(4) Separate regulations as issued.

The price of each regulation is printed thereon, facilitating
the purchase of extra copies.

Orders should be placed with the Government Printer,
Publications Branch, Wellington C.1. Separate copies of
Regulations may also be purchased from the Printing and
Stationery Department, 130 Oxford Terrace, Christchurch, or
from the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.

ment Printer at Wellington and Christchurch or through
the Chief Post Offices at Auckland and Dunedin.

A PENAL POLICY FOR NEW ZEALAND

In this brochure the problem of crime is briefly surveyed,
and an outline given of the principles on which the Department
of Justice acts in fulfilling its duty to provide better protection
to society. The substance and the purposes of proposed changes
in the law are also given.

A Penal Policy for New Zealand is commended by the
Minister of Justice to all those—and it should be the concern
of the whole community—who are interested in coping with
what is undoubtedly a serious social problem.

THE GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT OF
SOCIAL SECURITY IN NEW ZEALAND

A survey of social security in New Zealand from 1898 to
1949, and the most comprehensive work on the subject yet
published in this country.
