PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Glen Eden Borough Council, at its meeting held on the 25th day of October 1955, has resolved to prepare for the Glen Eden Borough a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.

Proposals marked ‘‘Glen Eden District Scheme’’ should be addressed to the Town Clerk and delivered at the Town Clerk’s office on or before the 23rd day of January 1956.

HAMILTON CITY COUNCIL

SECURITY RATE

Streets Loan 1955 of £200,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Hamilton City Council hereby resolves:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £200,000 authorized to be raised by the Hamilton City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the construction and laying of bituminous footpaths and carriageways, and of kerbing and channelling within the City, including the cost of fixing permanent levels, regrading and resurfacing, for labour, cartage, materials, plant and tools, preparation and advertising of plans, engineers’ fees, legal costs, supervision charges, the purchase of land and compensation to the owners of property in respect of such works, and the costs of raising the loan, the said Hamilton City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fifty-eight hundredths of a penny (0·58d.) in the pound (£) on the rateable value, unimproved, of all rateable property within the City of Hamilton; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable on the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Hamilton City Council at a duly constituted meeting held the 9th day of November 1955.
