IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION

NOTICE is hereby given, pursuant to section 232 of the Companies Act 1933, that a general meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held at the offices of Chambers, Worth, and Chambers, Courthouse Lane, Auckland, on Friday, the 16th day of December 1955, at 10 o’clock in the forenoon, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the liquidator, and also of determining by resolution the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

MASTERTON COUNTY COUNCIL

WORKERS’ DWELLING LOAN 1955 OF £17,500

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Counties Act 1920, the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Local Bodies’ Loans Amendment Act 1951, and all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Masterton County Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, principal, and other charges on a special loan of seventeen thousand five hundred pounds (£17,500) authorized to be raised by the Masterton County Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of the acquisition of land, erecting houses, or purchasing and improving houses, and all other works incidental thereto to accommodate Council employees, the Masterton County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-fiftieths of one penny (3/50d.) in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Masterton; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true copy of and a correct extract from the minutes of a meeting of the Masterton County Council held at Masterton on the 8th day of November 1955.

TOWN PLANNING SCHEMES

NOTICE is hereby given that, by virtue of section 16 of the Local Legislation Act 1955, the district schemes set out hereunder are still in existence and may be inspected at the Town Clerk’s Office, Tennison Street, Napier. They have become operative district schemes for the purposes of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, and all regulations made thereunder.

The Napier Business Area Town Planning Scheme 1931, the Napier (Marewa) Town Planning Scheme 1936, the Napier (Marewa) Town Planning Scheme No. 2, the Napier (Marewa) Town Planning Scheme No. 3, and the Napier (Onekawa) Town Planning Scheme 1946.

MOUNT ROSKILL BOROUGH COUNCIL

STRIKING OF SECURITY RATE

Roads Completion Loan 1954, £800,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of three hundred thousand pounds (£300,000) authorized to be raised by the Mount Roskill Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for completing the purposes for which the Roads and Streets Amalgamated Loan 1952, £468,250, was authorized, strengthening the works in certain cases, and carrying out further street works, the said Mount Roskill Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one and twenty-nine sixty-fourths of a penny (29/64d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Mount Roskill; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being for a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

Certified to be a true and correct extract from the minutes of the ordinary monthly meeting of the Council held on the 8th day of November 1955.

MADDENS LIMITED

IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933, and in the matter of Maddens Limited.

NOTICE is hereby given that by an entry in its minute book on the 16th day of November 1955 the above-named company passed a resolution for voluntary winding-up, and appointed Arthur Lansdel Gray, Public Accountant, of Christchurch, Liquidator.

All persons or companies having claims against the company are required to send full particulars to the undersigned on or before the 16th day of December 1955, otherwise they may be excluded from participation in any distribution of assets.

“(1) That the company be wound up voluntarily.

“(2) That Charles Blyth Harper, of Auckland, Company Secretary, be hereby appointed liquidator of the company.”
