NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 70 of the Friendly Societies Act 1909, by writing under his hand dated this 26th day of October 1955, cancelled the registry of Loyal Turua Lodge, No. 9676, of the Auckland District of the Manchester United Independent Order of Odd Fellows (New Zealand) Friendly Society (Register No. 312/3 (81)) held at Turua, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.

SUPERIOR FISH SUPPLY LIMITED

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933, and in the matter of Superior Fish Supply Limited.

NOTICE is hereby given that at a meeting of shareholders of the Superior Fish Supply Limited, held at Christchurch on Thursday, the 13th day of October 1955, the following special resolution was passed:

"That the company be wound up voluntarily and that Michael Cobourg Tipping, of Christchurch, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator of the company."

All persons or companies having claims against the company are required to send full particulars to the undersigned on or before the 11th day of November 1955, otherwise they may be excluded from participation in any distribution of assets of the company.

NELSON CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Nelson City Council hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £30,000 to be known as the Housing Development Loan 1955 authorized to be raised by the Nelson City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing land to extend Konini Street and developing land for housing and developing the Cattle Market Reserve for housing and providing an alternative reserve, the said Nelson City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seventy-five hundred and twelfths of a penny (75/512d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the City of Nelson, comprising the whole of the said City; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 23rd day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

The foregoing is a true copy of a resolution passed by the Nelson City Council at an ordinary meeting held on the 20th day of October 1955.

Notice to Creditors to Prove

In the matter of the Companies Act 1933, and in the matter of the Hokonui Coal Co. Ltd. (in voluntary liquidation), a duly incorporated company having its registered office at Kelvin Street, Invercargill.

THE liquidator of the above-named company doth hereby fix the 7th day of November 1955 as the day on or before which the creditors of the company are to prove their debts or claims and to establish any title they may have to priority under section 258 of the Act, or to be excluded from the benefit of any distribution made before such debts are proved, or, as the case may be, from objecting to such distribution.

HAWKSBURY RABBIT BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Hawksbury Rabbit Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,200 authorized to be raised by the Hawksbury Rabbit Board under the above-mentioned Act for housing, the said Hawksbury Rabbit Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 2d. (twopence) per acre on all rateable property within Hawksbury Rabbit Board area within the Hawksbury Riding of the Waikonaiti County; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half yearly on the 1st day of September and the 1st day of March of each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years."

I hereby certify that this is a true copy of the resolution as passed at the meeting of the Hawksbury Rabbit Board held on 7 February 1955.

CAMBRIDGE RABBIT BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Cambridge Rabbit Board hereby resolves as follows:

"That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £2,250 authorized to be raised by the Cambridge Rabbit Board under the above-mentioned Act for the construction of an employee’s residence, the said Cambridge Rabbit Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one halfpenny (½d.) per acre, excluding fractional parts of an acre, upon the rateable area of all rateable property in the Cambridge Rabbit Board district; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off."

The above resolution was passed at a special meeting of the Board held on 22 September 1955 and confirmed at a special meeting of the Board held on 27 October 1955.
