PALMERSTON NORTH CITY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Street Improvement Loan 1952, £154,700—Second Issue of £40,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1936, the Palmerston North City Council hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £40,000 as authorized to be raised by the Palmerston North City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of reconstructing, surfacing, widening, and resurfacing roads, and constructing footpaths, kerbs, and channels, the said Palmerston North City Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one hundred and twenty-six one-thousandths of one penny (0·126d.) in the pound upon the rateable value (upon the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property of the City of Palmerston North, and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of the said loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Palmerston North City Council held on the 13th day of January 1955.

UPPER MANGAPIKO DRAINAGE BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Upper Mangapiko Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:

“That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £4,500 authorized to be raised by the Upper Mangapiko Drainage Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of deepening, widening, straightening, and otherwise improving the Mangapiko Stream, the said Upper Mangapiko Drainage Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of 4/15 of a penny in the pound upon the rateable (unimproved) value of all rateable property in the Upper Mangapiko Drainage District; and that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of October in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of fifteen years, or until the loan is fully paid off.”

I, Arnold Joseph Johnson, Chairman of the Upper Mangapiko Drainage Board, hereby certify that the above is a true copy of the resolution passed by the Board at a meeting on the 1st day of September 1955 making a special rate of 4/15 of a penny in the pound to meet interest and other charges on a Stream Improvement Loan 1955 of £4,500.

HAWERA COUNTY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Hawera County Council at its meeting held on the 8th day of September 1955 has resolved to prepare for the Hawera County a district scheme as required by the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

Every person and every local authority in the district is hereby invited to submit any proposals which, in his or its opinion, should be considered in the preparation of the proposed scheme.

Proposals marked ‘Hawera County District Scheme’ should be addressed to the County Clerk and delivered at the County Clerk’s Office, Princes Street, Hawera, on or before the 30th day of November 1955.

MOUNT WELLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that pursuant to a resolution of the Mount Wellington Borough Council made on the 5th day of September 1955, the district scheme publicly notified on the 6th day of July 1955, has been withdrawn from public notification for amendment, and the public notification is hereby cancelled.

When the scheme has been amended and completed it will again be publicly notified and open to public inspection, and objectors will be given three months thereafter to lodge their objections.

WAIMEA COUNTY COUNCIL

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1953

PUBLIC notice is hereby given that pursuant to a resolution of the Waimea County Council made on the 10th day of June 1955 an amending scheme has been recommended for approval under the Town and Country Planning Act 1953. The scheme relates to modifications of the Waimea County District Scheme Stoke Riding Section, originally approved as the Waimea County Council Stoke Riding Extra Urban Planning Schemes Nos. 1, 2, and 3, under the Town Planning Act 1926.

The scheme has been deposited in the Waimea County Council Offices, Nelson, and is there open for inspection (without fee) to all persons interested therein at any time when the above place is open to the public.

Objections to the scheme or any part thereof shall be in writing in the form No. 4 prescribed in the First Schedule to the Town and Country Planning Regulations 1954, and shall be lodged at the office of the Council at any time not later than 21 December 1955.

At a later date every objection will be open for public inspection and any person who wishes to support or oppose any objection will be entitled to be heard at the hearing of objections if he notifies the County Clerk in writing within a period of which public notice will be given.
