Revoking the Reservation Over a Reserve in Canterbury Land District
Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation for a reserve for recreation purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto.

Approval of Motor Cycle Safety Helmets in Terms of Traffic Regulations 1936
Pursuant to clause (9) of regulation 16 of the Traffic Regulations 1936* as inserted by regulation 5 of the Traffic Regulations 1936, Amendment No. 15, the Minister of Transport hereby approves for the purposes of the said regulation of the motor cycle safety helmets of the make and type described in the Schedule hereto.

Approval of Testing Officers Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
Pursuant to regulation 5 of the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby approves of the persons named in Column 2 of the Schedule hereunder being testing officers under the said regulations for the authority specified in Column 1 of the said Schedule.

Exemption Order Under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940
Pursuant to the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940, the Minister of Transport hereby orders and declares that the provisions of clause (1) of regulation 7 of the said regulations so far as they relate to the driving of heavy trade motors shall not apply to the person hereinafter mentioned, but in lieu thereof the following provision shall apply:
A motor driver’s licence issued under the Motor Drivers Regulations 1940 to the person described in Column 1 of the Schedule hereunder may authorize him to drive a heavy trade motor in the course of his employment for the employer described in Column 2 of the said Schedule, but shall not authorize him, while he is under the age of eighteen years, to drive a heavy trade motor for any other purpose.

Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Transport Act 1949, Section 36
Pursuant to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby declares the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle on any road therein at any time during the period commencing on the 18th day of December of each year and ending on the seventh day following Easter Monday in the next ensuing year shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

Situated within Manukau County—
All those roads at Beachlands, including all that portion of Beachlands Road commencing at a point 5 chains measured in a south-easterly direction from its junction with Shelly Bay Road and terminating at its junction with Cherrie Road.

Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Transport Act 1949, Section 36
Pursuant to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby declares the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle on any road therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.
SCHEDULE
Situated in Whangarei County—
All that area at Waipu consisting of those portions of roads hereinafter described:
(1) Whangarei-Maungaturoto via Waipu State Highway No. 4 (all that portion commencing at a point 13 chains measured along the said State highway in a north-easterly direction from its junction with Waipu Cove Road and terminating at a point 12 chains measured along the said State highway in a westerly direction from its junction with North River Road).
(2) North River Road (all that portion commencing at a point 2 chains measured along the said road in a north-westerly direction from its junction with the Whangarei-Maungaturoto via Waipu State Highway No. 4 and terminating at the said junction).
(3) St. Mary’s Road (all that portion commencing at a point 3 chains measured along the said road in a south-westerly direction from its junction with the Whangarei-Maungaturoto via Waipu State Highway No. 4 and terminating at the said junction).
(4) Waipu Cove Road (all that portion commencing at a point 10 chains measured along the said road in an easterly direction from its junction with the Whangarei-Maungaturoto via Waipu State Highway No. 4 and terminating at the said junction).
(5) South Road (all that portion commencing at a point 6 chains measured along the said road in a south-easterly direction from its junction with the Whangarei-Maungaturoto via Waipu State Highway No. 4 and terminating at the said junction).

Revoking Portion of a Warrant Excluding Street from Limitation as to Speed Imposed by the Transport Act 1949, Section 36
Pursuant to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby revokes the following words in the Schedule to the Warrant dated the 9th day of June 1952* relating to exclusion of streets from a limitation as to speed in the Kaitaia Borough:
“all that portion from the northern boundary of Kaitaia Borough to the junction of the said State highway with Ahipara Road; and”
