WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE
Cambridge Road Water Supply Special Area Loan 1955, £7,800
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Waipa County Council hereby resolves as follows:
“That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, principal, and other charges on a special loan of £7,800 authorized to be raised by the Waipa County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of providing a water supply in the Cambridge Road Water Supply Special Rating Area, the Waipa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three and one-half pence (3½d.) in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the said Cambridge Road Water Supply Special Rating Area described in the Schedule hereto, and that such rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

“All that area included by a line commencing on the right bank of Mangahoe Stream at its intersection with the west side of Great South Road; thence north-east along the west side of Great South Road for a distance of 1·8 chains; thence north-west across the Great South Road—Te Awamutu Cambridge Road intersection to the south-east corner of Lot 3, D.P. 2795; thence westwards along the southern boundary of the said Lot 2 to its south-western corner; thence in a northerly direction along the western boundary of the said Lot 2 to its north-western corner; thence north-west along the south-west boundary of part 250 to the boundary of Lot 8, D.P. S.1140; thence south-west along the boundary of the said Lot 8 to its south corner; thence north-west along the south-west boundary of the said Lot 8 to the south-east corner of Lot 14, D.P. S.1140; thence westwards along the south boundary of the said Lot 14 to its south-western corner; thence north-east along the south-western boundaries of Lots 12, 13, 14, D.P. S.1450; thence north-east along the north-west boundary of the said Lot 13 to its north-western corner; thence south-east along the north-east boundary of the said Lot 13 to its intersection with the western boundary of Lot 1, D.P. S.2255; thence in a northerly direction along the western boundaries of Lots 1, 2, 3, D.P. S.2255, to the north-west corner of Lot 3, D.P. We hereby certify that the foregoing is a true and correct copy of a resolution passed at a properly constituted meeting of the Waipa County Council held on the 15th day of August 1955.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928
NOTICE is hereby given that the Birkenhead Borough Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act to execute a certain public work, namely, a public recreation ground, and for the purpose of such work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken, and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Birkenhead Borough Council, Highbury, Birkenhead, and is open for public inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land who have well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Town Clerk, Birkenhead Borough Council, Council Chambers, Birkenhead.

ALL that piece of land containing seventeen acres thirty-eight decimal three perches (17a. 0r. 38·3p.) situated in the Borough of Birkenhead, being Lots 156, 157, 158, 159, 160, 161, 162, and 163, on Deposited Plan Number 20048, being portion of Allotment 144, Parish of Takapuna, and being all the land comprised in certificate of title, Volume 484, folio 178, Auckland Registry, subject to Fencing Agreement in Transfer 227376.
