ELTHAM BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Housing Loan 1955, £10,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Eltham Borough Council hereby resolves:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000 authorized to be raised by the Eltham Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting or purchasing workers’ dwellings and/or pensioner’s flats, the said Eltham Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one decimal point one pence in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Eltham, comprising the whole of the Borough of Eltham, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable yearly on the 1st day of April in each year and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’

DRIVERS TRANSPORT (MORRINSVILLE) LTD.

IN LIQUIDATION

THE following is a statement of a resolution passed by the shareholders of the above-mentioned company on Wednesday, 24 August 1955:

‘‘That the company be wound up voluntarily and that Henry Melvyn Garry Barnett, of Morrinsville, Public Accountant, be and is hereby appointed liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up.’’

WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Rural Housing Loan No. 3 1955, £30,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Waipa County Council hereby resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, principal, and other charges on a special loan of £30,000 authorized to be raised by the Waipa County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of making advances to farmers in terms of the Rural Housing Act 1939, the said Waipa County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 0·064d. in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) on all rateable property in the County of Waipa, and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable annually on the 1st day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’

We hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was passed at a duly constituted meeting of the Waipa County Council held on Monday the 15th day of August 1955.

BLUFF BOROUGH COUNCIL

SPECIAL ORDER

Staff Housing Loan 1954, £6,000

THE following Special Order was passed at a special meeting of the Bluff Borough Council held on 13 April 1955 and confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the Council held on 12 May 1955:

‘‘That the Bluff Borough Council proceed to raise from the State Advances Corporation of New Zealand a special loan of £6,000 for the purpose of staff housing, such loan to be called ‘Staff Housing Loan 1954’. That such loan be repaid with interest at £4 per centum per annum by half-yearly instalments of £219 6s. 8d. each for a term of twenty years, and that the Council appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and other charges thereon a special rate of 0·922 of a penny in the pound of the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Bluff.’’
