Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Government Loans Board Act 1926, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto by way of loan of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 15 of the Local Government Commission Act 1953, the Waiuku Town Board requested the Local Government Commission to consider the exclusion of a certain area of land from the County of Franklin and the inclusion of that area in the Town District of Waiuku:
And whereas the Town District of Waiuku was constituted a borough as on and from the 1st day of January 1955:
And whereas, pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, the Local Government Commission has approved as final a scheme bearing date the 3rd day of May 1955 providing for the exclusion of the area described in the Schedule to the said scheme from the County of Franklin and the inclusion of that area in the Borough of Waiuku:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to give effect to the final scheme as hereinafter appearing:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that as on and from the 1st day of April 1956 the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of Franklin and included in the Borough of Waiuku, and with the like advice and consent, hereby also declares that the alteration of boundaries of the said county and the said borough hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.
SCHEDULE
AREA EXCLUDED FROM THE COUNTY OF FRANKLIN AND INCLUDED IN THE BOROUGH OF WAIUKU
ALL that area of approximately 190 acres in the North Auckland Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point in Block III, Maioro Survey District, being the most westerly angle in the boundary of the Borough of Waiuku as described in N.Z. Gazette No. 77 of the 9th day of December 1954, page 1993, and running westerly generally along a right line to a point on the eastern boundary of Lot 1 on D.P. 29543, being part of Allotment 313, Parish of Waipipi, distant 747 links from the north-eastern corner of that lot; thence along another right line to a point on the western boundary of the said Lot 1, distant 643 links from the northernmost corner of that lot; thence northerly generally along the said western boundary, along a right line being that boundary produced across the Drury-Waiuku-Kohekohe Main Highway to the north-eastern side of that highway, and along that side of the said highway to the right bank of the Rangiwhea Creek; thence generally north-easterly and then southerly down that right bank, to and along the line of mean high water along that right bank and the left bank of the Waiuku River to the northern boundary of the Borough of Waiuku aforesaid; thence north-westerly and then south-westerly along the boundary of that borough to the point of commencement.

THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
WHEREAS, pursuant to section 15 of the Local Government Commission Act 1953, the Gisborne Borough Council requested the Local Government Commission to consider a proposal that certain areas of land should be excluded from the County of Cook and included in the Borough of Gisborne:
And whereas, pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, the Local Government Commission has approved as final a scheme, bearing date the 28th day of April 1955, providing for the exclusion of the areas described in the Schedule to the said scheme from the County of Cook and the inclusion of those areas in the Borough of Gisborne.
And whereas it is deemed expedient to give effect to the final scheme as hereinafter appearing:
Now, therefore, pursuant to the Local Government Commission Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that as on and from the 1st day of October 1955 the areas described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of Cook and included in the Borough of Gisborne, and with the like advice and consent hereby also declares that the alteration of the boundaries of the said county and the said borough hereinbefore made shall be deemed to have been effected under the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

AREAS EXCLUDED FROM COUNTY OF COOK AND INCLUDED IN BOROUGH OF GISBORNE
ALL that area in the Gisborne Land District containing, by admearsure 229 acres 2 roods 4·43 perches, more or less, and bounded as follows:
Commencing at a point being the north-easternmost corner of Lot 99, Deposited Plan 1644, of Subdivision 384, Kaiti Block; thence in a north-westerly direction along the northern boundaries of Lots 99 and 98, the north-eastern and northern boundaries of Lot 97, Deposited Plan 1644, to the south-eastern boundary of Kaiti 337A 2 Block; thence in a north-easterly direction along that boundary to the south-western side of Oman Street, being the southernmost corner of Lot 1, Deposited Plan 3701; thence in a north-western direction by the southern boundary of said Lot 1—and that line produced across Subdivision 337A 2, Kaiti Block, to the eastern boundary of Lot 4, Deposited Plan 2004, of Subdivision 3371, Kaiti Block; thence in a south-westerly direction along the south-eastern boundary of said Lot 4 of 3371, Kaiti Block, for a distance of 750 links, to a point known as the foot of Kaiti Hill; thence in a north-westerly direction generally along the foot of Kaiti Hill aforesaid, traversing Part Lot 4, Deposited Plan 2004, Lot 1, Deposited Plan 3086, of Part 3371, Kaiti Block, a public road, again by Part Lot 4, Deposited Plan 2004, Part Lot 3, Deposited Plan 2004, and Part 2A, Deposited Plan 1998, of said 3371, Kaiti Block, to the south-easternmost corner of Lot 2, Deposited Plan 2339, thence northerly and north-westerly generally by the eastern boundary of said Lot 2 and the northern boundary of Lot 1, Deposited Plan
