Declaring Area to be a Closely Populated Locality for the Purposes of the Transport Act 1949, Section 36
P URSUANT to section 36 of the Transport Act 1949, the Minister of Transport hereby declares the area described in the Schedule hereto to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of the said section to the intent that a person driving any motor vehicle on any road therein shall be subject to the maximum speed limit of thirty miles an hour fixed by the said section.

ALL that area in the Township of Te Puia consisting of those portions of highways hereinafter described:
(i) Gisborne - Te Araroa State Highway No. 24, commencing at a point 4 chains measured in a northerly direction along the said State highway from its junction with Cemetery Road and terminating at a point 3 chains measured in a westerly direction along the said State highway from its junction with the Te Puia - Waipiro Bay Main Highway No. 334.
(ii) Te Puia - Waipiro Bay Main Highway No. 334, commencing at a point 1 chain measured in a northerly direction along the said main highway from its junction with Wheeler Street and terminating at its junction with the Gisborne - Te Araroa State Highway No. 24.
