Closed Street in the City of Hamilton Added to Land Taken for the Purposes of the Housing Act 1919

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to subsection (5) of section 29 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1948, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby declare the land, being closed street, described in the First Schedule hereto, to be added to the land taken for the purposes of the Housing Act 1919 and described in the Second Schedule hereto.

FIRST SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of closed street: 17·3 perches.
Being Allotment 439, Te Rapa Parish.
Situated in Block II, Hamilton Survey District, City of Hamilton, Auckland R.D. (S.O. 36868.)
In the South Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 146705 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

SECOND SCHEDULE

LAND TAKEN FOR THE PURPOSES OF THE HOUSING ACT 1919

ALL that area in the City of Hamilton, South Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 155 acres 1 rood 20·3 perches, more or less, being part Allotments 50, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, and 56, Te Rapa Parish, and being the residue of the land comprised and described in certificate of title Volume 774, folio 139, Auckland Land Registry (limited as to parcels.)

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 10th day of August 1955.

Crown Land Set Apart for Railway Purposes at Waharoa

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for railway purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 22nd day of August 1955.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of the Crown land set apart: 35·5 perches.
Being Lot 31 on a plan lodged for deposit in the Land Transfer Office at Auckland under No. S.3024 (Town of Waharoa Extension No. 9), being part Matamata South Block, situated in Block XIII, Wairere Survey District, and being formerly part of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 91, folio 179, Auckland Land Registry.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the seal of New Zealand, this 10th day of August 1955.

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the Crown land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for railway purposes; and I also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on and after the 22nd day of August 1955.

SCHEDULE

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of Crown land set apart: 1 rood 28·6 perches.
Being part Lot 1, D.P. 14418, being part 65c, Kohewhata Block.
Situated in Block XV, Omapere Survey District, Borough of Kaikohe. (S.O. 34733.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 13586 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Railways Commission at Wellington, and thereon coloured yellow.

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the additional land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Hurunui-Waitaki Railway.

Being
0 0 27·6 Part Lot 1, D.P. 11206, being part Rural Section 245; coloured sepia.
1 0 10·2 Part Rural Section 245; coloured orange.

Both situated in the City of Christchurch. (S.O. 8834.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 13593 deposited in the office of the New Zealand Railways Commission at Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Allocating Land Taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road

A PROCLAMATION

PURSUANT to section 226 of the Public Works Act 1928, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road; and that the said road shall be under the control of the Selwyn County Council and shall be maintained by the said Council in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Council.
