KAITUNA RIVER BOARD

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Housing Loan 1953, £3,000

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Kaituna River Board hereby resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,000 authorized to be raised by the Kaituna River Board under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of erecting a dwelling to provide accommodation for an employee, the Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of sevenpence (7d.) per acre on the whole of the rateable property within the Kaituna River District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable on the 23rd day of March and the 23rd day of September in each and every year during the currency of the loan, being a period of ten years, or until the loan is paid off.’’

I hereby certify that the above is a true copy of a resolution passed at a meeting of the Kaituna River Board held 2 June 1954.

KAICOHE BOROUGH COUNCIL

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE

Fire Station and Engine Loan 1955, £13,000: Issue of £3,500

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act 1926, the Fire Services Act 1949, and amendments and regulations made thereto, the Kaikohe Borough Council, acting as the Kaikohe Urban Fire Authority, hereby resolves as follows:

‘‘That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on an issue of three thousand five hundred pounds (£3,500) on a loan of thirteen thousand pounds (£13,000) authorized to be raised by the Kaikohe Borough Council under the above-mentioned Acts for the purpose of purchasing a fire engine and erecting a fire station, the said Kaikohe Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven-eighth pence (⅞d.) in the pound (£) upon the rateable value (on the basis of unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Kaikohe Borough District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of June and the 1st day of December in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of five (5) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.’’

Given under the Common Seal of the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the Borough of Kaikohe, this 18th day of July 1955, pursuant to a resolution passed by the said Council on 18th day of July 1955.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the above-named company duly convened and held on the 9th day of July 1955 the following extraordinary resolution was passed:

‘‘1. That the company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue its business and that it is advisable to wind up and that the company be wound up voluntarily.
