Amending the Constitution of the Waikawa Rural Fire District

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1947, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth hereby make the following Order:

The Order in Council dated the 9th day of February 1949 and published in New Zealand Gazette, the 15th day of February 1949, Vol. I, page 572, is hereby amended by omitting the Schedule to that Order in Council and substituting the Schedule set out in the Schedule to this Order in Council.

"AREA INCLUDED IN THE WAIKAWA RURAL FIRE DISTRICT

Authorizing the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board to Erect and Use Electric Lines Within Part of the Waikohu County

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 20th day of July 1955

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928 and the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorizes the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board (hereinafter referred to as the licensee), subject to the conditions hereinafter set forth, to lay, construct, put up, place, and use electric lines within the area of supply described in the Schedule hereto; and further, for the purpose of section 76 of the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, subject to the said conditions, hereby authorizes the licensee to construct electric works within the said area of supply.


CONDITIONS

IMPLIED CONDITIONS

  1. The conditions directed to be implied in all licences by the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935 and the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935 shall be incorporated in and shall form part of this licence, except in so far as the same may be inconsistent with the provisions hereof.

LICENCE SUBJECT TO REGULATIONS

  1. The licence hereby conferred is subject to compliance by the licensee with the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935, the Electrical Wiring Regulations 1935, the Radio Interference Regulations 1934, and with all regulations hereafter made in amendment thereof or in substitution therefor respectively.

SYSTEMS OF SUPPLY

  1. The systems of supply shall be as described in paragraphs (a), (d), (e), and (f) of Regulation 21-01 of the Electrical Supply Regulations 1935.

DURATION OF LICENCE

  1. This licence shall, unless sooner lawfully determined, continue in force until the 1st day of November 1965.

SCHEDULE

AREA OF SUPPLY

ALL that portion of the Waikohu County included in the Poverty Bay Electric Power District by the Proclamation dated the 3rd day of May 1955, and published in the Gazette on the 5th day of the same month, at page 725.

Amending an Order in Council Appointing Representation on the Franklin Electric Power Board

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby further amends the Order in Council dated the 22nd day of October 1924, and published in the Gazette on the 23rd day of the same month, appointing representation on the Franklin Electric Power Board, as amended by the Order in Council dated the 8th day of August 1927, and published in the Gazette on the 11th day of the same month, at page 2646, by deleting from the Schedule thereto the words “Waikui Town District” and “Tuakau Town District” and substituting therefor the words “Waikui Borough” and “Tuakau Borough” respectively.
