Plants Declared Noxious Weeds in the Akitio County
(Notice No. Ag. 5915)
PURSUANT to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, and acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said Act, the Director-General of Agriculture hereby publishes the following special order made by the Akitio County Council on the 8th day of June 1955.
SPECIAL ORDER
THAT in exercise of the powers conferred on it by the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Council hereby resolves by way of special order that blackberry and hemlock, being plants mentioned in the Second Schedule of the Act, be declared as noxious weeds within the County of Akitio.

Classification of Road in Inglewood County
PURSUANT to subclause (7) of regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955, the Commissioner of Transport hereby revokes that portion of the Warrant dated the 28th day of June 1950,* which applies to the classification in Class Three of the portion of Tariki Road (now a Main Highway) described in the Schedule hereto, and hereby approves the Inglewood County Council’s proposed variation in the classification of the said portion of road as set out in the said Schedule.

Classification of Streets in the Borough of Havelock North
PURSUANT to subclause (7) of regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1955, the Commissioner of Transport, with the concurrence of the Havelock North Borough Council, hereby alters the said Council’s proposed classification of the streets described in the Schedule hereto and situated in the borough of Havelock North, and hereby approves such altered classification as described in the said Schedule.

Land Surveyors’ Examination, August 1955—Australia and New Zealand
IT is hereby notified for general information that the Survey Board, in conjunction with the Australian Surveyors’ Boards, will conduct an examination of candidates for registration as surveyors, commencing at 9 a.m. on Monday, 22 August 1955, at Wellington.
Candidates are notified that their applications, on the proper form, must reach the Secretary of the Board not later than Monday, 25 July 1955, and that the examination fee must be paid at the same time to the Secretary, from whom application forms and other particulars may be obtained.
Candidates presenting themselves for examination in any written subject or subjects may present themselves for examination at any Chief Surveyor’s office, or at Rotorua, or Wanganui.
Candidates for the oral and practical portion of the examination must sit in Wellington. Plans for this portion of the examination, the certificate, and other evidence required by regulation No. 31 of the Survey Examination Regulations 1953, must be forwarded not later than 5 September 1955.

Boundaries of the Borough of Balclutha, the County of Bruce, and the Matau and Balmoral No. 2 Ridings of the County of Bruce Redefined
PURSUANT to section 26 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Secretary for Internal Affairs hereby defines, as set out in the Schedule hereto, the boundaries of the Borough of Balclutha and the County of Bruce, and the Matau and Balmoral No. 2 Ridings of the County of Bruce, the previous boundaries having been altered by Order in Council dated 15 February 1955 and published in Gazette, 17 February 1955, No. 12, page 246.

BOUNDARIES OF THE BOROUGH OF BALCLUTHA
ALL that area in the Otago Land District containing 1,258 acres, more or less, bounded by a line commencing at a point on the right bank of the Clutha River (Koau Branch) in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 24, Rosebank Estate; thence north-westerly to and along that boundary, and across a public road to the south-eastern boundary of Lot 23, Rosebank Estate; thence south-westerly and north-westerly along the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of the said Lot 23 to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 21 on the plan numbered 4791 deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Dunedin; thence south-westerly to and along that boundary, the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 22 to 39, inclusive, on the aforesaid plan, and the abuttal of Wilson Road; thence north-westerly generally along the north-eastern boundaries of the land shown on the plan numbered 3264 deposited as aforesaid, to and along the south-eastern boundary of the land shown on the plan numbered 2900 deposited as aforesaid to a point in line with the south-western boundary of the land shown on plan numbered 4236 deposited as aforesaid; thence north-westerly along a right line, to and along the said south-western boundary, and north-easterly along the north-western boundary of the last-mentioned land, and the production of that boundary to a point 250 links from a public street forming the north-eastern boundaries of Lots 4, 3, and 2 on the plan numbered 397 deposited as aforesaid; thence north-westerly along a right line parallel to the aforesaid street to Owaka Road; thence north-easterly along that road to the northern corner of Lot 2 on the plan numbered 397 aforesaid; thence north-westerly across the Main South Road to the southern corner of the land shown on the plan numbered 2868 deposited as aforesaid; thence north-easterly along the north-western side of the Main South Road to the southern corner of the land shown on the plan numbered 6257 deposited as aforesaid; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundary of that land, and the south-eastern boundary of Section 12, Block XXXV, Clutha Survey District, to the southern corner of the land contained in certificate of title, Volume 279, folio 116, Volume 252, folio 247, and again Volume 279, folio 116, Otago Registry; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of that land and of the land shown on the plan numbered 5901 deposited as aforesaid; thence north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of the land shown on the last-mentioned plan and of the land contained in certificates of title, Volume 279, folio 116, Volume 252, folio 247, and again Volume 279, folio 116, all Otago Registry, to the Clutha River; thence down the right bank of that river to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 1, Block XXVI, Town of Balclutha; thence northerly across the Clutha River to and along the said western boundary of Section 1 to the north-western corner thereof; thence due north along a right line through Section 31A, Barnego Settlement, to and across Johnson Road; thence generally easterly along the northern side of Johnson Road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Section 13, Block XVII, Town of Balclutha; thence south-easterly to and along the north-eastern boundaries of Sections 15, 21, 22, and 23, Block XVII aforesaid, and south-westerly along the south-eastern boundary of Section 23 to the westernmost corner of Section 24, Block XVII aforesaid; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of that Section to the Dunedin-Gore State Highway; thence across that highway at right angles and south-westerly along its south-eastern side to the eastern boundary of Section 28, Block XVII, Town of Balclutha, thence southerly and westerly along the eastern and southern boundaries of Section 28 aforesaid, and southerly along the eastern boundary of Section 43 to the north-western boundary of Deposited Plan 2877; thence south-westerly, north-westerly, south-westerly and southerly along the north-western, north-eastern, north-western, and western boundaries of Deposited Plan 2877 to the north-eastern side of Yarmouth Street; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern side of Yarmouth Street; thence south-westerly along the north-western boundary of Section 43, Block I, Hillond Survey District, and its production to the right bank of the Clutha River; thence down the right bank of the Clutha River and of the Koau Branch of said river to the point of commencement.

All that area in the Otago Land District commencing on the sea coast at the mouth of the Taieri River; thence generally south-westerly along the mean high-water mark of the ocean to the mouth of the Koau Branch of the Clutha River; thence generally north-westerly along the centre of the Koau Branch
