Declaring Land to be Subject to the Provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953 (Mangonui Development Scheme)

PURSUANT to section 330 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Board of Maori Affairs hereby declares that on and from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette the land described in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act 1953.

PURSUANT to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, and acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture, the Director-General of Agriculture hereby publishes the following special order made by the Rodney County Council on the 8th day of June 1955.

SPECIAL ORDER

THAT pursuant to section 3, subsection (1), of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the following plants be declared noxious weeds in the County of Rodney:

Blackberry. Pussy willow.
Californian thistle. Scotch thistle.
Crack willow. Water hyacinth.
Foxglove. Watsonia.
Hemlock. Winged thistle.
Japanese wineberry.

Administration of the Noxious Weeds Act 1950 in the Akito County (Notice No. Ag. 5914)

PURSUANT to the Noxious Weeds Act 1950, the Director-General of Agriculture, acting under a delegation from the Minister of Agriculture for the purposes of the said Act, hereby publishes the following resolution passed by the Akito County Council on the 8th day of June 1955.

RESOLUTION

“THAT the Council agree to take over administration of the Noxious Weeds Act within the Akito County as from the 9th day of May 1955.”
