1913, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and
on the recommendation of the Right Honourable the Chief
Justice and two other Judges of the Supreme Court, hereby
appoints

The Honourable William Perry Shorland, Judge,
to be a member of the First Division of the Court of Appeal; and

The Honourable Trevor Ernest Henry, Judge,
to be a member of the Second Division of the Court of Appeal.

The Mokoreta Rural Fire District Order 1955

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government House at Wellington this 25th day of
May 1955

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1947, His
Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes
the following order.


ORDER

  1. This order may be cited as the Mokoreta Rural Fire
    District Order 1955.
  2. This order shall come into force on the day after the
    date of its notification in the Gazette.
  3. The area specified in the Schedule to this order is hereby
    constituted and declared to be a rural fire district to be known
    as the Mokoreta Rural Fire District.
  4. The trees and other plants on State forest land in the
    said area are hereby specified as the property for the pro-
    tection of which the district is constituted.
  5. The Mokoreta Rural Fire District shall, for the purposes
    of the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1947, be administered by
    the Minister of Forests.
  6. The period between the 1st day of August in any year
    and the 30th day of April in the following year (both days
    inclusive) is hereby specified and declared to be a closed fire
    season in the said district.

SCHEDULE

AREA INCLUDED IN THE MOKORETA RURAL FIRE DISTRICT

ALL that area in the Southland Land District, Southland
County, containing approximately 46,000 acres, situated in
Block XI, Wyndham Survey District, Blocks III, IV, VI, VII,
VIII, IX, X, XI, XII, XIII, and XIV, Mokoreta Survey
District, and Block III, Toetoes Survey District, and bounded
generally as follows: Towards the north by Section 37A, Glen-
ham Settlement, and Sections 1 and 25, Block VII, Wyndham
Survey District; towards the north-east generally by Section
2A, Block XI, Wyndham Survey District, Section 2, Block IV,
Wyndham Survey District, and by the eastern and north-
eastern sides of Matheson Road to the south-eastern corner of
Section 1, Block VIII, Mokoreta Survey District, and by a
right line to Trigonometrical Station ‘P.P.’, Block VIII
aforesaid; towards the north-west by a right line from the
aforesaid trigonometrical station to the south-eastern corner
of Section 14, Block V, Mokoreta Survey District; towards
the west by Sections 14, 13, and 11, Block V aforesaid; towards the north-west by the south-eastern side of a public
road to a point due west of Trigonometrical Station ‘H’
Chimney; towards the north by a right line to the south-eastern
corner of Block III, Mokoreta Survey District; towards the
east by the eastern boundary of Mokoreta Survey District;
towards the south generally by Sections 5, 4, 8, and 7, Block
XIV, Mokoreta Survey District, Section 8, Block XIII, Moko-
reta Survey District, by the southern side of a public road
passing through Sections 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1, Block XIII afore-
said, and Section 3, Block XII, Mokoreta Survey District, and
by Sections 2, 1, and 5, Block XII aforesaid; towards the south-
west by the south-western side of a public road to the southern
boundary of part of Lot 11 on D.P. 2268; towards the north
by part of Lot 11 aforesaid and part of Section 38A, Glenham
Settlement; towards the west, south, and west by part of
Section 38A aforesaid; and towards the west, north-west, and
west by Section 37A, Glenham Settlement. As the same is more
particularly delineated on plan No. 217/15 deposited in the
Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service, at Wellington,
and thereon bordered red.
