THE RIGHT HON. S. G. HOLLAND PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Rabbit Nuisance Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
-
(1) This order may be cited as the South Hillend Rabbit District Order 1955.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette. -
The boundaries of the South Hillend Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 16th day of July 1941,* are hereby altered and redefined; and as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE SOUTH HILLENDRABBIT DISTRICT
All that area of land in the Southland Land District containing by estimation 61,905 acres, more or less, and bounded as follows: Commencing at a point on the left bank of the Aparima River in line with the northern side of a public road forming the northern boundary of Lot 15 on plan numbered 239, and deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Invercargill; thence northerly generally along the left bank of the said Aparima River to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 311, Block XXI, Taringatura Survey District; thence easterly across a road reserve and along the southern boundary of the said Section 311, to and across a public road forming the western boundary of Section 304, Block XXI aforesaid; thence south-easterly, south-westerly, and easterly along the eastern side of the said public road and the southern boundary of Section 304, Block XXI aforesaid, to the south-eastern corner thereof; thence southerly and easterly along the western and southern boundaries of Section 187, Block XXI aforesaid, to the eastern side of a public road forming the western boundary of Section 368, Block XXVI, Taringatura Survey District; thence southerly and easterly and again southerly and easterly along the eastern and northern sides of the said public road and the western and southern boundaries of Section 368, Block XXVI aforesaid, to the western boundary of Section 369, Block XXVIII, Taringatura Survey District; thence southerly along the western boundary of the said Section 369 to the northern boundary of Block XXXII, Taringatura Survey District; thence westerly, southerly, and easterly along the northern, western, and southern boundaries of the said Block XXXII to the western boundary of Section 395, Blocks XXXIII and XXXIV, Taringatura Survey District; thence southerly, easterly, and northerly generally along the western, southern, and eastern boundaries of the said Section 395 to the southern boundary of Section 256, Block XXXIV aforesaid; thence easterly, northerly, and again easterly along the southern boundaries of the said Section 256 to the southern side of the Hogg-Shuttleworth Road; thence south-easterly along the southern side of the said Hogg-Shuttleworth Road to the eastern side of the South Hillend-Dipton Road; thence north-easterly and easterly along the eastern side of the said South Hillend-Dipton Road, the southern side of a public road forming the southern boundary of Lot 52 on plan numbered 35 and deposited as aforesaid, and across a road reserve to the right bank of the Oreti River; thence southerly generally along the right bank of the said Oreti River to the northern boundary of Section 7, Block VII, Oreti Hundred; thence south-westerly along the northern boundary of the said Section 7 to the eastern side of Riverside Road; thence northerly generally along the eastern side of the said Riverside Road to a point in line with the northern side of Ryan Road; thence westerly and south-westerly to and along the northern side of the said Ryan Road to its intersection with the Winton-Heddon Bush Road; thence south-westerly and westerly across the said Winton-Heddon Bush Road and along the northern side of Mayfield Road to a point in line with the western side of Hamilton Road; thence southerly generally to and along the western side of the said Hamilton Road, across Ballyhooey Road, and along the western side of a public road forming the western boundary of part Lot 14 on plan numbered 207 and deposited as aforesaid, to the northern boundary of Block V, Oreti Hundred; thence westerly along the northern boundary of the said Block V, across the Drummond-Heddon Bush Road, and along the northern side of Gerard Road to the eastern side of Allison Road; thence north-easterly and north-westerly generally along the eastern and northern sides of the said Allison Road and Gladfield Road to the intersection of the last-mentioned road with Bayswater Road; thence north-westerly to and along the northern side of a public road forming the northern boundary of Lot 15 on plan numbered 239 and deposited as aforesaid, and across a road reserve to the point of commencement.

ORDER

(1) This order may be cited as the New River Hundred Rabbit District Order 1955.
(2) This order shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette. -
The boundaries of the New River Hundred Rabbit District, which was constituted by Order in Council on the 14th day of March 1932,* are hereby altered and redefined; and as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE NEW RIVER HUNDRED RABBIT DISTRICT
All that area of land in the Southland Land District containing by estimation 84,230 acres, more or less, and bounded as follows: Commencing at the junction of the left bank of in Waimatuku Stream with the eastern side of the Winton-Otatanui Main Highway; thence north-easterly along the eastern sides of the said Winton-Otatanui Main Highway and Allison Road to the northern side of Gerard Road; thence easterly along the said Gerard Road, across the Drummond-Heddon Bush Road, and along the southern boundary of Block IX, Oreti Hundred, to the western side of a public road forming the eastern boundary of Lot 15 on plan numbered 207, and deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at Invercargill; thence north-easterly along the western side of the said public road, across Ballyhooey Road, and north-westerly along the western side of Hamilton Road to the northern side of Mayfield Road; thence easterly and north-easterly along the northern side of the said Mayfield Road to the eastern side of the Winton-Heddon Bush Road; thence north-easterly and easterly along the northern side of Ryan Road and that boundary produced to the eastern side of Riverside Road; thence south-easterly and south-westerly along the eastern side of the said Riverside Road to the southern boundary of part Section 11, Block VII, Oreti Hundred; thence north-easterly along the southern boundary of the said part Section 11, and that boundary produced to the left bank of the Oreti River; thence south-westerly generally along the left bank of the said Oreti River to a point in line with the northern boundary of Lot 3 on plan numbered 2162 and deposited as aforesaid; thence north-westerly by a right line across the Oreti River to the northern boundary of the said Lot 3; thence southerly generally along the right bank of the Oreti River and the New River Harbour to Foveaux Strait; thence north-westerly by the said Foveaux Strait to the mouth of the Waimatuku Stream, Block XIX, New River Hundred; thence northerly generally along the left bank of the said Waimatuku Stream to the point of commencement.

PURSUANT to section 6 of the Administration Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby approves the Hartford Fire Insurance Company
as an incorporated company, the security of which may be accepted for the purposes of the said section in place of a bond.
