PURSUANT to section 16 of the New Zealand Army Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to approve of the following appointments, promotions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Army:
THE ROYAL N.Z. ARTILLERY
Territorial Force
Headquarters, R.A., New Zealand Division
Captain M. F. Andrew is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, The Royal N.Z. Artillery, with the rank of Captain. Dated 12 March 1955.
Divisional Counter Bombardment Staff Troop, H.Q., R.A., New Zealand Division
2nd Lieutenant F. Dickson to be Lieutenant. Dated 19 December 1954.
9th Coast Regiment, R.N.Z.A.
Lieutenant-Colonel J. B. Horrocks, M.C., E.D., relinquishes the appointment of C.O., 9th Coast Regiment, R.N.Z.A., and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, 9th Coast Regiment, R.N.Z.A., with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, with seniority from 1 April 1952. Dated 31 March 1955.
Major G. D. Beresford, E.D., is appointed C.O., 9th Coast Regiment, R.N.Z.A., and is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Dated 1 April 1955.
The appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on prob.) G. D. Lawless is confirmed.
2nd Lieutenant G. D. Lawless to be Lieutenant. Dated 15 April 1955.
The appointment of 2nd Lieutenant (on prob.) P. B. Minogue is confirmed.

10th Coast Regiment, R.N.Z.A.
Lieutenant-Colonel J. R. Marshall, E.D., relinquishes the appointment of C.O., 10th Coast Regiment, R.N.Z.A., and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, The Royal N.Z. Artillery, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Dated 31 March 1955.
Major F. L. Parkin is appointed C.O., 10th Coast Regiment, R.N.Z.A., and is granted the temporary rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Dated 1 April 1955.
Major G. S. Richards is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, 10th Coast Regiment, R.N.Z.A., with the rank of Major, with seniority from 11 June 1947. Dated 1 April 1955.
Lieutenant (temp. Major) J. H. Hall-Kenney is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, General List, The Royal N.Z. Artillery, with the rank of Major. Dated 1 December 1948.
Lieutenant L. A. Martin is transferred to the Reserve of Officers, Regimental List, 10th Coast Regiment, R.N.Z.A., with the rank of Lieutenant, with seniority from 31 August 1947. Dated 1 April 1952.
