Declaring Access Ways to be Vested in the Corporation of the City of Auckland and to be Under the Control and Management of the Auckland City Council

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 18th day of April 1955

Present:

THE RIGHT HON. K. J. HOLYOAKE PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 6 of the Housing Amendment Act 1940, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the access ways described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Auckland, and be under the control and management of the Auckland City Council.

PURSUANT to section 112 of the Public Works Act 1928, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby orders and declares that the portions of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and after the date of this Order in Council, become county road.

Temporarily Appointing a Member of the Auckland Tramways Appeal Board

WHEREAS it is provided in clause 12 of the regulations under the Tramways Amendment Act 1910, made on the 2nd day of February 1911, that in the case of the unavoidable absence of either of the members of the Board other than the Chairman, the Governor-General may temporarily appoint some suitable person to act as member of the Board during such absence;

And whereas the employers’ representative on the Board is unavoidably absent and it is expedient that a temporary member should be appointed:

Now, therefore, I, Lieutenant-General Sir Charles Willoughby Moke Norrie, the Governor-General of New Zealand, pursuant to clause 12 of the said regulations, hereby appoint John Grierson, of Auckland, Public Accountant, to be the representative of the employers on the Auckland Tramways Appeal Board during the absence of the employers’ representative.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 18th day of April 1955.

Officer Authorized to Take Statutory Declarations

PURSUANT to section 301 of the Justices of the Peace Act 1927, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby authorizes

Ernest Colin Smith, being Section Clerk, State Advances Corporation, Auckland,

to take and receive statutory declarations under that section.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 7th day of April 1955.
